Been worried about someone, whom I shouldn't be worried about. Shouldn't be sooo worried. Talk more about it later.

Hmm, so what to do tomorrow and monday? Roam around KL again? Need to get prepared for interview which should be about anytime in this month. Suddenly fee pressured. Pressure... pressure...

Ultimate Toys Star Wars Midnight Fiesta

And so, there was one event I did not cover. The release of Star Wars Episode 3: The Revenge of The Sith Midnight Fiesta done by Ultimate Toys.

I recall that it was the night before my Cheng Beng trip. But this guy, Mr. Engineer did. Check it out at his blog.

Should've been there just to kick the guy's butt who cosplayed as the AT-ST. :P

The Star Newspaper Just Called.

Some lady called. Voice very soft. She wanted to make an appointment to interview me and take pics of my collection of... "stuff".

When she mention "stuff", she hesitated like my above sentence and I giggled. She too, returned with a giggle. Aiya, they are toys lah! Nothing to be pai seh about. Unless she refers to them as dollies. -.-'

She wanted to have it on this weekend. Told her I'm not sure if I am free yet as there migth be training for this weekend. She said that it's due on June and asked if it's alright to have the interview on some time mid of May. Don't see anything wrong with that. So, she'll call me again. Hhmmm, need to put more effort and display all the cun cun ones.

Hey, lynnee! Want to be interviewed for your shoe and miniature toiletries collection? If you want, I"ll see what I can do lah. :D

Cheng Beng

And so, here we are. It's a short post actually compared to other trip post. We"ll see.

Woke up very early that Saturday. Such an un-Godly hour. 5! Can ya imagine? Felt kinda woozy. Though slept early but felt like I didn't get enough sleep. After packing and preparing all our stuff into the car, we set off at around 6.

Nothing much on the way except listening to music. We stopped at Tapar pit stop. Everyone had to go to the washroom. The washroom here is huge! A Hall of urinals and stalls. Clean too! After finishing our businesses, we got back into the car.

We took the new road, the one that's heading to Cameron Highlands. Like I've said before it's been years since I've followed for Cheng Beng. Couldn't recognise any roads. I thought to myself, "haven't seen any roads that are familiar to me, is it really that far?". I made a comment on why it feels so far. Then Dad started with his lecture saying I can't go travelling blah blah always in the house blah blah.... This is one of the reason I don't like to go on trips wit my parents. Uncalled nagging.

Just let him say whatever he wants to say. Lazy to defend myself. No point. Actually after Tapar is the curvy and narrow roads. Ahh this I recognise! Almost there. About an hour to go, I think.

Anyway, we've reached Tanjung Tualang at around 10am. We straight headed to the cemetary. Clean up the grave, burn jossticks and stuff. They bought a set of paper clothes to burn for my great grand father. Didn't see any pants. Kinda funny.

It's not too hard to clean up. Not too dirty as before. Just alot of dry grass surrounding the area. We burned it. Yay to open burning! It's only dangerous if no one's around to control and put out the fire. If not, I don't think there's anywhere to return for Cheng Beng next year. :P

Some pics:

Woo!
Nice view! Nothing but trees and unrecognisable (from here) land.

Creepy
I really don't want to stay at any of these houses. There's a housing area just right beside the cemetary. If any of the dead rises from the ground, guess who's first to be zombie food?

Buzzzzz
See that colourful bugger right at the center of the pic? It's a wasp. It's finding a suitable place to build a nest. No, I didn't step on it.

We actually bump into some relatives though. They are here to, well, the same thing. Dad usually goes around to the other relatives graves, burn 3 josstick for each grave, just to pay respects

After that, we went to look for my Grand Uncle. But first, we went to have a drink. We passed by.... Yeap, the house that used to belong to him has been torned down and built some kind of three story high house. The ground floor and the first floor is some seafood restuarant. Sorry no pics.

We had urm some kind of yellow jelly drink with squashed coconut extract(santan). You can either mix it with santan or honey and lemon. They call it urm Wan Tao Long (in hokkien). You should be able to find it at your local pasar malam, at least in Subang's. But they only have it with honey and lemon.

Here's some pics of Tanjung Tualang:

Shop houses
Yup, that's my dad. He's going to the restaurant to book a table for lunch with our Grand Uncle.

Shop houses
More shop houses. The people in the blue Gen2 actually thought I was taking pics of them! Hahah, Naaa!!!

Shop houses
I like this one. An empty street.

Traffic's actually pretty busy than usual. I think alot of people came back for Cheng Beng. After all, Sunday's the actual day.

After finishing our drinks, we went to look for our Grand Uncle. Didn't know where he stayed. He has moved out to some other place since my parents and brother's last visit. So we asked around. The thing about him is that, he used to be the Head Villager of Tanjung Tualang. Everyone know who he is, at least the older generation people. So, they could tell us where.

The place where he stayed is quite cozy. 2 bed rooms, one is where sleeps, the other a store room. Kitchen looks spacious. Though ther's an alley behind the house, it's like one step, it's the other house already.

He looks lonely. He's a bachelor. He used to stay with his sister in that old house. Ever since his sister died, he sold the house and has been renting rooms. Now he bought this place. He's having back ache, knees ache. Dad brought some vinegar for him, to I dunno, treat it. Dad also gave him some money. After a while, the relatives that we saw at the cemetary dropped by. Making alot of noises bilibala to a very quiet house. All of the sudden it felt like the wet market. One of my cousins looks VERY fair. Her skin's like a white sheet of paper.

Anyway, after the relatives are gone, we brought him to lunch. Though the waiting for food part is long, but it's good. After lunch we went home. Grand uncle wants to hang around and talk to his friends. So, we belah lah.

On the way, stopped at Tapar pit stop again. Brother wants to help his friends buy some guava. Reached home at around hmmm 4:30pm.

Now, that wasn't so bad.

UPDATE: It's Tapah and not Tapar. Thanx, ML. For correcting.

*Yawn* Need Some Input.

Today was fun. Took some pics. But don't think I will be putting them up without people's permission. Maybe edit/cover the faces lah ;P. Hhmm too sleepy and tired to blog. Later. Great, more work pending.

Re-uploading pics is ALOT of work!! Especially when my blog has so many pics posted. -_-"

Was thinking of setting another blog. The new one would be a "Special Extended Director's Cut And All The Crap" version, where everything is uncensored/uncut/unedited and specially for bitching version. For invites only (of cuz current readers would be invited! ;D). This one would have to remain and open for all, though some posts would have to be deleted.

Why would this one be the open for all version? Have been commenting at other blogger's blogs and left links to this place. So, the reason is pretty obvious.

What do you all think?

UPDATES: Awh, no feedback at all? I'm crushed! Truth be told, the other one won't be bitching. Since, I've got to this far without bitching so much (yeah, right)... I guess I can make do with this one with some editing. Having two blogs for readers to follow is definitely not a good idea.

Some Pics Re-Uploaded

Most of the pics from the Movie Reviews posts are up again. All of Anime Reviews and CD Reviews are up.

Couple?

A colleague asked me if Kar Cher and I are a couple.

Huh??! Me and her?? Ah, don't mistaken lah, she's an attractive girl (generally lah, personal opinion?...meh), lots of guys I know go ga-ga over her, but somehow there's just no chemistry between us... No attraction. Or at least on my side. That I am bloody damn sure.

So, being the curious cat that I am, I asked the colleague what makes her think that we are a couple. She said we looked like one.

Huh? How do we look like one? We are seldom together or anything. Because of our small group, we can't afford to have more than one person to go and have lunch together. So, when do we look like a couple?

colleague: "Neh, that time at Port Dickson. The team building trip."

What??! I don't seem to recall taking extra care of her... I asked further "How so?". She just answered: "You both just gave me the impression."

Namu Amitaba!! Why lah??! Why do I always have this wrong impression giving gift.... T__T

I think soon, at work I would have some sort of reputation.... -_-' Or I might already have!!! o_O *faints*

Virus Attack!

Oh for goodness sake....

While chatting doing work and chatting, some colleague sent me a message "It's you!" and followed by a link with my Hotmail address on it. Looks extremely suspicious as two messages appear at the same time. Who could paste a link and press enter that fast?

Was going to click on the text field to laugh at verify with colleague to see if it's a virus.... OMG! So many chat windows pop out!!! Filling up the whole screen!!! Holy $#!+!!!

Apparently, I have - as Mars put it - Flower Eyes (ngan far). Instead of clicking on the text field, I've clicked on the link. Yeap, it's a virus alright. I immediately sent messages to everyone... as there's so many on my contact list, I just type "Pls Dun Click".

Some already knew it's a virus, some replied with "Spreading virus ah?"... so, I appologised to them, change my nick to "Pls Dun Click On The File I've Sent". One friend, who will be remain nameless. Kept asking me "Why? Why cannot click? What is it?" when I was in the midst of warning everyone.

I made a quick reply to him "virus" before logging off to scan my pc. He then replied with "What virus? Where?". Aiyo, Goodness! if I wanted people to click it, I woulnd't have warn people not to click it right? Obviously something's wrong. Ah, If I have more time to explain, I would have. But alas... some people ah....

A colleague was infected though, cuz she was one of the colleagues that I was liasing with on a case. She thought I was showing her someting. Had to call her to appologise to her.

While scanning, my phone rang. Uh oh, it's my manager. Thought she's gonna bili bala me why send her virus, so I explained everything. She said she knew it was a virus but the reason she called was not about the virus.

Ahh, damn sui and embarrassing lah!

Hmm.

Was really surprised that Ex no.3 sent a Yahoo! Messenger invite to me. She had just installed Yahoo! Messenger at work, wanted to add me, but she had use my other email account to add.

Added her, when she's on, chatted with her for a while. I've managed to keep my promised since the last time I made here. Manage to speak nicely to her.

Dakedo Baby!

Oh but baby!

I Feel Vulnerable - New Hair Cut.

Whenever my hair is cut short. I feel very vulnerable. No lah, not afraid people tease... What, you think I'm 12? Just that my head loses it's armoured protection.

My thick hair has managed to protect me from fatal blows like wooden door falling on my head, bumping into the edge of a metal fire extinguisher box, hit by basketballs etc.

Besides that, it's easier to catch a cold for the first few days.

For at least 2 weeks, I have to be very careful with my head.

Ang Moh Lao Development Area

So far, mixed opinions from those who have seen it.

Hopefully there won't be any "Ang Moh Lao"s (apartment ;) ) raised on my head for the coming 2 weeks.

What A Saturday! And It's Not Even Over Yet!

Bro's dunno where the hell is he. Parents went to some talk thingy. Only me and a couple of "self-moving furnitures" at home.

I managed to reject ignore Mom's invitation to the talk thingy. She kept inviting nag me to go. Won't that bother me? Everyone knows that I don't like to be nag. Yeah, that's true.... I can't turn off my Audio Sensory. But, through years of constant nagging from Ex No. 3 and parents, I've master the art of turning off the Audio-Emotion Sensory.

So, a perfect saturday to do whatever I want. Hmmm... have finished watching the first set of Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor. It's actually better than what I've expected. Though the story is cliche, but the execution of it is good. Just love the drama.

Reading about Sarah's post on looking for job, going for interviews, preparing the resume just made me think back how it was when I was looking for my first job. Damn, it was hell. H-E-L-L. But that's another story to tell.

So, what to do... what to do? Blogging? Kinda lose steam as the connection is slow. I have pics for the Cheng Beng post. Maybe I can post and when the connection is back to normal, I can post a photo blog. Hmmm... oh wait, I need to get another site to host the pics. -_-"

Ooh, I've just cut my hair! I don't see a point to have an individual post on it. Might as well dump it here. Went to cut my hair last night after dinner. Told Louis that I couldn't manage to get the exact style that he taught me the last time. He asked me would I still want it this time, or cut another. I told him to cut the same. He said alright but would give me a shorter cut and it would be easier to style. Ooookay.

Yup, it's really shorter alright. Not going out yet, so haven't try styling it.

Seems like Dad's pretty "friend friend" with their boss, Terrence. it's the first time I see him. Heard that he will open another branch somewhere in SS15, Subang Jaya. A school to train people and cut hair as well.

After me cut my hair, dad wanted one too and wanted Louis to cut it for him. So, have to wait. Mom's talking to some insurance selling chick, so I went into Carrefour to get a new tube of hair gel. It's almost finish. Came out, Dad's finish and he joined mom talk to the girl. Hmm.. they are inviting her to join the MLM thingy instead of her trying to sell insurance.

On leave on Monday. XD

Get My Lingo? - A Post on "WTF"

Just to school some clueless folks:

-----------------------------------------------------
WTF

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The initialism WTF can refer to:

- The World Taekwondo Federation, http://www.wtf.org/

- Working Title Films, a United Kingdom film production company.

Ahah! Below is the one I often use:

- An initialism for "What the f***?" in internet slang. Other, less frequently used meanings include: "Who/Where/Why/When the f***?" It has been said that this meaning is sometimes used in military parlance, expressed in the NATO phonetic alphabet as "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot".

- wtf is also the name of a command line acronym database, whose meaning is also "what the f***?". It first appeared in NetBSD 1.5, see e.g. http://netbsd.gw.com/cgi-bin/man-cgi?wtf++NetBSD-current

-----------------------------------------------------

Taken from Wikipedia's "WTF" page.

Hhmmm, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot". Now that's a cool alternative! XD

For Those Who Don't Read The News: TMNET Going Cuckoo

TMNET Temporary Service Interruption

Holy crap! It's like going back to the stone age (hint:56k)! Heheh!

Actually, I found out about it last nite when friends complaining about the connection speed and asking me if my office connection is using TMNET.

This is for in case no one is online for you to ask if they are facing the same problem:

First rule of thumb whenever facing slow connection - Try the ISP's website. If its a problem that everyone is facing, they would announce it on their site.

You can also try calling the customer support line. They would have a recorded message stating the problem. So, you don't have to que to talk to their Helpdesk support agents.

So, at least you know what's going on... or a part of it. Stop cursing the ISP already lah. Make an official complain instead!

Guess re-uploading pics and fixing links would be futile tonight. I wonder how long this would go on?

Bandwidth Overage

OMG!#$%%!koolookoolooWTF!??

"Bandwidth Usage Period: Mar 31, 2005 through Apr 31, 2005

My freewebtown site!! Bandwidth Overage!! And in just 8 days for a 30 day period!! More koolookooloolookoolookooo!!!

Probably due to the recent heavy traffic and with the song playing some more. Time to take it down again and need to fix the recent pics....

Urm This Blog Is Currently Facing Some Technical Difficulties

Eh, don't think I've mentioned this before.

The site that I used to host all my pics, it's currently down. I didn't manage to hit the target page view impressions and hence they have closed it down. *coughlycoscough*

Did I lose my pics? No, I manage to back em all up. I have another site. But it would take some time to re-upload them, and change the links in past posts.

So, hope you guys can bear with me for awhile. Most of the pics in past posts would not be displayed unless it has been re-uploaded.

Thank you for your support and very sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Contact

This morning was surprised. Someone added me in MSN. Didn't recognise the nick. Tried to think, tried to recall... but had work to do.

Later in the evening, the person pop out. He's online. Asked friend if she knows the name. Friend thought I was asking whether she knows that "celebrity" name. Heh.

The person messaged me. Turn out to be one of my readers. Well, not the readers that I know that has been reading my blog. A "stranger" reader, who's also into anime.

Thanks for dropping by/reading/support! ^__^

Most Popular Post(s)

Yara yara... I'm so disappointed. Apparently most of the traffic that's coming to my blog is due to the post Lyrics to "Pride" by HIGH and MIGHTY Colour

Why are people looking for the lyrics to this song? I thought most GSeed Destiny fans hated it? Probably due to it not sounding too much like a Gundam song? I guess you can't keep a good song unpopular.

Of course, the now "classic" It's Just A Word gets an honorary mention.

Casshern review post was no slouch too.

All 5 parts of RO Carnival 2005 (darn how to link all 5 parts! @_@) got pretty good hits due to the words "Ragnarok Cosplay" and "RO Huntress Cosplay" (and I thought I was obsessed! ;P)

Apparently, Mai Yamane (Yoko Kanno, Mai Yamane and the Seatbelts -Souvenior of Tokyo post) still have fans.

And because of some words, search engines have led people to my blog, but only to have em leave empty handed. Ahh, I know what to post now ;).

Okay lah. Need to take a nap. Damn tired today. Limbs felt like they were ripped out of the sockets. After a short nap, will be back to post. Let's see:

- the long over due RO Carnival 2005 Haul post

The Bells... They Won't Stop Ringging!

Okay. People seem to be getting married left and right. While on the way back from Cheng Beng yesterday, received an SMS from one of my best buddies. 2 actually.

The first one being "Hi, how are you friend... sms you last week and you didn't reply..". Ermm? He did? Maybe it was during the time my mobile decided to have a near death experience on me. But, hmmm I should received it when it's revived. Anyway...

The second one is when he dropped the bomb on me: "We've just registered, I'm no longer a bachelor... Ha ha ha..."...

o_O!...O_o!! O__O!!! Wow!

Eehh, why am I surprised anyway? It's not like he has to consult or talk to me before in anything that he wants or plans to do. Or even a hint of anything.

Even way back in secondary school, he would always "Oh yeah, by the way, me and whtsthtchicksname is dating right now.". And we are in the same class. So, either I am the world's lousiest friend, or he is very good in hiding his own personal stuff.

But usually then it will be followed by a "What happened??" from me and he would spill everything out.

Guess it would be difficult for that right now. He did mention wanting to meet up and have a drink together. I bet he would bring his gf wife out as well. Kinda hard to be completely honest whenever she's around... but I guess I would have to learn.

And what's with the "ha ha ha...", maybe I'm reading too much into it... sounded like cold sweat drop laughter... shotgun?

Hehe, I used to think that I would be one of the first to get married. But guess life isn't just like that.

So, hmm wish them a happy marriage, get lots of kids... perhaps a soccer team of kids. Ahh, I'm just bad at wishing people.

Yahoo! News: "Super volcano" could dwarf Indonesia's earthquake catastrophes: expert

Saw this on Yahoo! News. They say it's just a matter of time. I'm sure Malaysia will be affected somehow by tremors (or maybe an earthquake itself!) and ashes.

Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Agressor

Fafner in the Blue Sky

anatawa sokoni imasudesuka?

Currently watching this anime.

Anime with giant robots battling mysterious giant aliens with kids as pilots. Lots of drama. Lots of characterisation. Sounds like Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Set in a not too distant future, most of Earth is destroyed by mysterious giagantic beings called Festum. One island was able to develop the technology to shield and hide away from the Festum. The island is regard as Paradise.

Hmph, who are they kidding? In the first episode, they have been found by a Festum. However, they were not unprepared. The island is equiped with shields, weapons and most of all a giant robot called Fafner Mark Elf (or Fafner MK 11).

Fafner is a giant robot: "Named after a giant called Fafner who could transform itself to a dragon to protect it's treasure". Though up to episode 4, it still hasn't transformed, just connected/merged to a jet. I'm not sure it's suppose to transform.

As usual, the Japanese love to torment their kids and send them out to battle and die. But in the first episode, we get to see the original Fafner pilot (a woman) killed on her way to the base. These kids are one of the few with the genetic make up that could synchronise with Fafner, enabling them to pilot it. I like the how one scene is played, when they've decided that they need more pilot candidates, the commander and the doctor went to each parents house to informed them. Most of them reacted with a "Why... my son??", "He is chosen?? This can't be!!" or "No this can't be happening...*cries*", one couple were so happy that they couldn't wait to announce it to their son.

It is quite an interesting anime. It looks like the character designs are done by the same person who did Gundam Seed. Lots of similarities. Mecha designs are interesting (though unconventional) but I doubt I would recognise or remember it after a few years. Just like Nadeisco's Aestavalis.

The anime is a bit too much like Evangelion. Heck, even the sountrack, the BGM where they are luanching the Fafner sounded like the BGM in Evangelion when they go into battle. The opening theme, "Shangri-La" sung by Angela is really good. The first time I heard it was at XL-Shop but I did not know it is the opening theme for this anime until now. If you've heard of Uchuu no Stellvia (Stellvia of the Universe) opening theme, "Ashita no Brilliant Road" (also sung by Angela), you would know how "Shangri-La" sounds like. The same type. Characterisation wise, it looks like it has more dept than Eva. Animation is pretty good. Seems like alot of production values have went into it.

Brother bought the DVDs. No need to pay to watch, so I'm not complaining. It has enough mysteries to keep me interested. But it just felt too much like watching Eva.
