In The Words Of Ultra Magnus
.... Open, damn it, open!!
Stupid Lycos Tripod. Half a night, I have been trying to upload a RadioBlog file to my page and right now it still won't work.
Dunno what's wrong with it. I've tried uploading a jpeg file and it seems to work.
It rained almost the whole day. What a perfect day to just hide at home, rest and sleep. Wanted to go out actually, *shrugs*.
Coming Monday's a public holiday for Selangoreans. The company that we are supporting is in Selangor, so I"ll have that holiday as well.
We only knew that we will be having that public holiday yesterday. Darn, if knew earlier, can do so much.
Since it's a three day weekend, it's just perfect. Today rest at home, tomorrow go out, Monday do my crap like tidying or something.
Didn't do much today, again. "Cleaned" up the hard disk. I can't beleive I have so much crap in there. There's a file with the size of 289 MB and I don't know what it does or what's it for. So, it's off to that big Recycle Bin in the sky. Bits to bits, bytes to bytes. Amen.
Hmm, it looks like it's gonna rain again. Raining at night. Nice!
Saint Seiya: Tenkai-hen Josho =Overture= : Not a Review
The DVD of the latest Saint Seiya anime movie is finally out. Bro bought it yesterday.
Saw it. Man, this movie sucked!! It's suppose to be the be all and end all of the series, the final installment. Basically they unzipped their pants, pulled out their schlongs and just pissed on the series.
Really disappointed. Or maybe I hyped myself up too much when I heard they were going to do this movie.
I"ll review it the next time. Too pissed to write one. Maybe do a review after watching it a second time.
Yatta! Finally found this CD!! No lah, I'm not super rich go and buy the "Sony" version (as above pic). The one I bought is errmm.. "Taiwan version" if you catch my drift.
It has all the opening and closing themes for the anime Rurouni Kenshin. Here's the song list:
1. Sobakasu (Freckles) by Judy And Mary (J.A.M... get it? ^__^) 2. TACTICS by The Yellow Monkey (Heheh...) 3. Namida wa Shitte Iru by Suzukaze Mayo (Kenshin's voice actress) 4. Heart Of Sword by T.M. Revolution (!!!) 5. One Half (1/2) by errmm 6. It's Gonna Rain! by Bonnie Pink 7. 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou (1/3 True Feelings) by Siam Shade 8. Towa no Mirai (Everlasting Future) by dunno wo -_-' 9. somethinginjapanese by somejapaneseguy -__-" 10. The Juppongatana (The Ten Swords) by The Juppongatana's voice actors/actress
First impressions: Basically the first 8 songs are good. You can forget about the last 2. Maybe the last 2 songs haven't sink into me yet. I"ll give em a chance.
Sobakasu: The first opening theme. Very noisy, bouncy and upbeat. With cutesy cutesy singing from J.A.M. When my ex was still with me, and this song's mp3 is playing; I like to immitate J.A.M. singing out reaaalll loud just to annoy her. Heh. Nex time when I put up this song in my RadioBlog, I"ll put up my "version" as well. *giggles*
Tactics: The first closing theme. Absolutely love it!
Namida wa Shitte Iru: Second closing theme Kenshin's voice actress can sing wo~ Can sing very well tiim~.
Heart of Sword: The third ending theme. Ahh, one of my fav Japanese singer - T.M. Revolution (short for Takanori Makes Revolution). Above average. Still prefer his newer stuff.
One Half: The second opening theme. Ok lah. Catchy lo~
IT's Gonna Rain: Of all the themes, this is my fav. Well, currently anyway. Sounds so sweet. I'm trying to download Bonnie Pink's other songs on Kazaa but it's always "More Resources Needed". Anyone know where can I download more of her songs?
1/3 True Feelings: Catchy.
The last two, errr next time got chance only comment. Eh! I think they left out 4th Avenue Cafe!! Which is one of the closing theme. It was in a few episodes and then they took it out. Heard it was due to the band was caught doing drugs. Aiii~
Have been searching for the CD like, forever. Actually found it once. But no money. So, didn't get it. Now found it again and at a cheaper price.
RM 16.90 for 8 songs that I like. Quite a bargain lo. Sorry, no songs from the CD for my RadioBlog tonight. Lazy to encode. Heh. Next time lah. "It's Gonna Rain" is definitely going to be in it. ^__^
Hhmmm.... did a case this morning. Might get myself into trouble. Next time, just listen to yourself if you are sure that you are right. Paranoid doesn't mean you don't trust yourself. Trust yourself mmokay?
This post is just to prove how crappy my dad's video-slash-digital-camera.
I've just opened up the Chibi (Japanese for little) Gundam Seed Characters. These lil babies are soo cute! They are sitting on over-sized Haros. In the show, a Haro is a little sphere type robot that keeps bouncing around and says "Haro? Haro?" or "Genki?".
Want to see? Here they are, the whole set:
*whimpers* So pathetic! Can't see anything! So blurry!
What's the camera's brand? GrandVision. Sounds so Beng. It's not the lighting but it's only 2 megapixels.
My dad got it from the redeem it with points with his bank. It's only worth at around RM 200.
Seeing people's blog with crystal clear pics makes me green with envy. Anyone can recommend a good but reasonably priced digicam? At around 5 megapixels, with zoom and flash? Anyone? Hello? Helloo? Mr. Bueller?
While on the way to work, me and my parents heard this story on the radio, MIX FM station.
"There's this lady, who went for a long vacation. Someone broke into her house. When she got back. She discovered a woman has been living in her house. The woman was wearing the owner's clothes. She even changed the carpets, the pictures (to her own pics) on the wall and the lamps, vase and all the decorative stuff. Apparently the woman has been living there for quite some time."
Mom: "Such person also got hor."
Dad: "This type of person, must be really something wrong. Siao one."
Me: "Siao? I think they prefer the technical term: Crackpot."
As they say, it's a jungle out there. Or, a mental institution.
Where the heck (no pun intended) is Limbo? Either you click up there or read down here:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level 1 - Limbo
Charon ushers you across the river Acheron, and you find yourself upon the brink of grief's abysmal valley. You are in Limbo, a place of sorrow without torment. You encounter a seven-walled castle, and within those walls you find rolling fresh meadows illuminated by the light of reason, whereabout many shades dwell. These are the virtuous pagans, the great philosophers and authors, unbaptised children, and others unfit to enter the kingdom of heaven. You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damn (really, the pun wasn't intended)! Geez! This really reflect on something. Right now, my life is lacking direction. Going nowhere.... I am neither here, nor there. Hence, I am in Limbo.
Maybe I can do the Limbo Rock with Caesar, Homer, Socrates and gang.
"Jack Be Limbo, Jack Be Quick
Jack Go Unda Limbo Stick"
The big meeting that day? Basically a big waste of time. Everything that has been said then could have been just a memo sent out to everyone through email. Though we did get free dinner before the meeting starts.
Before the meeting starts, my colleague hhmmm... let's call him "Mac", since he always take "MC". Well, Mac kept going on and on about how pretty our head honcho of the account look. He got me curious. But when I met her, cheh... just another short girl with big eyes lah. Nothing special. :P
Here's the highlights of the meeting:
1) Someone have left us. (Sheesh! What a nice way of saying someone got fired!)
2) Few people will be joining us. (No chicks geh? I mean, no pretty/hot/cute/chicks geh?)
3) Introduce some new people who've just joined. (HAHAHAH! So that's how you look like! :P J/K!)
4) We did a good job. We were rewarded. (*rolls eyes*)
5) We have to be more careful. Escalate to Team Lead if we know that it will blow up. (You think everyone got Spider Sense meh?)
Anyway, only redeeming thing is that, I get to meet the onsite engineers. Know the faces behind the voices... know who to look for if any of them is going to get an ass kicking from me... hahaha! Kidding!
Before the meeting about to end, the head honcho asked:
"Before we end here, any questions?"
Me: "When's the stripper coming?"
Ah, Okay I made that up. Basically what really happened was she kept asking, everyone just kept quiet, she asked again, everyone kept quiet again, she asked another time, everyone's wondering "Can we go now?".
Heard from Ah Cheh, they had a number of big meetings before I joined. Crap. Guess there'll be more.
While taking the LRT back from work, I noticed a girl looked pretty familiar. No lah not "her". But she looked like she used to study in the same high secondary school with me. I think she was one of the prefects. Hhmmm, now where's my school magazine?
So, I started thinking: if she get off in one of these stations and not the last one (or the first, depending on which direction you are going), means she's not from Subang Jaya. If she's not, why would she be studying at SMSJ (short form of my secondary school that I used to study)? Make sense, right?
There were 4 more stations left till the final one, which is Kelana Jaya. One after another, she didn't get off. She got off at Kelana Jaya alright.
Hhmmm.... what would happen if I walk up to her and say, "Hey, do you use to study in SMSJ?". Few posibilities:
1) "...."
2) *SLAP!* 3) "Have you been stalking me!!??" *SLAP!* 4) "Ham sap lou ahhhh!!" ("Pervert!!!") *SLAP!* 5) "Why yes, how do you know?"
6) *SLAP! SLAP!* 7) *KICK TO THE GROIN!*
Shoulda just ask her. No harm mah, right? The most I get is one of the above 7 response. Maybe next time. Maybe not.... hmmm all of a sudden I don't care at all already. Hahaha, what a waste of time.
Hahaha, didn't do anything today. Couldn't remember anyway. Maybe I did? Hmmm, let's see... Woke up at 12:00 p.m. (Siok nia! ^__^), surf the net a bit, sleep till 7:00 p.m. and had dinner. Hahaha, yeah really didn't do anything.
Heard it's exam season. Student's scurrying around, burning the midnight oil to study. Heheheheh, definitely didn't miss those days.
Nice, get to sleep so much. Haven't been getting enough sleep for most of the week. Feel so rejuvanated now. Though still feel like sleeping. Heh!
Everyone for the urrmm.... account will be attending it. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Hhmmm....
Some people still have to ask, when it's stated "attendance is compulsary" in the email *rolls eyes*.
I wonder what will happen. Will anyone complain about me? Hahah, we will see. Kinda sad that if anyone would want to complain about someone, they bring it up in the meeting and not talk to the person face to face like a "man" first right? I've seen it happened before. So, I won't be surprise if anything like that happens again.
Maybe there will be something to blog about tonight, or tomorrow lah. These few nights, quite late only go to bed. About 3:00 a.m. So, dunno I can keep it up till the meeting over or not. Maybe I can paint eyes on my eye lids....
Cowboy Bebop: Tengoku no Tobira or Knocking on Heaven's Door. Also known as Cowboy Bebop: The Movie in the States. They are showing it on HBO (the Astro one lah!) for this month. What? You mean they made a live action version of the anime? No lah, it's just an anime movie. First, a short intro of the anime series.
What is Cowboy Bebop the anime series about? It's set in the future. In the future, humans have colonised space and other planets. Crime is on the rise again. The bounty hunter system is reintroduced. Bounty hunters are referred to as "cowboys". The anime focus on the lives of Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Ed.... and Ein the dog. They are a group of bounty hunters who tries to make ends meet and lives in the spaceship called the "Bebop". Besides being an anime that shows how one make ends meet, it is also a philosophy on how one leads his or her life.
Ok, enough about the series. I"ll save that for my procastinated homepage :P. Let's get on with the movie. Oh, you don't have to watch the series to understand what's going on or who are the characters. It's done excellently with a scene with Spike and Jet playing Japanese chess. Just by one scene, shows the type of characters that they are.
The story: Halloween's around the corner. Some messed up lunatic released a bio-terrorism weapon by blowing up a big tanker truck filled with the deadly stuff. A bounty is placed on him. Faye was at the scene. She manages to catch a glimpse of the psycho. With that, the Bebop crew decided to hunt him down and recover the bounty. Or, they could just continue eating expired instant noodles for at least the rest of the movie. :D
The movie doesn't take place after the series (you'll know why if you have seen it). It's set between episodes (or referred to as "Sessions") 22 and 23. It's written like a Session in the series, only it's longer (120 minutes). And, it has everything: cool fights, gun fights, fan service (courtesy of Faye), aerial dog fight, and ass kicking soundtrack. No big ass robots though. In my humble opinion, one of the best session in the series. And, one of the best anime movie. What's a "Fan Service"? I"ll explain it in one of my future post.
Unfortunately, they are showing the dubbed version. No bilingual with sub-titles where you can switch it to the Japanese dialogue and enjoy it's original glory.
How was the dub? One of the best actually. All of the English speaking voice actors actually try to sound like their Japanese counterparts. Kudos to Ed's voice actress. Although Spike's dubbed voice sounds cool, but Yamadera Kouichi's voice acting is still "Spike".
I've also noticed that they have changed a bit of the lines into a totally different meaning. Only a few lines. How I know ah? I've seen it on VCD a couple of years ago. Chinese sub-titled.
Give the movie a try. It's only two hours of your life, that you will never get back if you think it sucked. If you like the movie, try the series. It's the only anime that my mom can sit and watch with me. Oh, and my dad was watching it with me yesterday. Heh! Maybe it was because of Faye's boobs :P . My dad must never ever read this post.
Here's some screen caps from my vcd:
!!!
Spike Spiegel
"I love a woman who can kick my ass."
Electra
Vincent Volaju
Dog Fight!
Showdown!
Yay, Fan Service!
Ok, that's about it. Go check your Astro guide and go watch it!
Now Playing: Gotta Knock A Lil Harder - Ending theme
Though the description is beautiful, this is a bit creepy. I've always wanted this song "Blue" to be my funeral song, you see. I don't want those took chiang took chiang ngee ngee ngor ngor played during my funeral. Please tell my parents, if anything "happens" to me. Oh, and I already have the CD. Just look for it in my stash of CDs: Cowboy Bebop - Blue.
Heh, you must be thinking that I'm a weird morbid sick person, who already have planned what he wants for his funeral ^__^.
Ahh.... So much for waking up early. Didn't do much today. Morning besides soaking in sun rays, try to figure out how to fiddle around with the Blog template, read people's blog, read a bit of movie reviews... so sien (boring). No one online (MSN) to talk to.
So, after lunch, it rained.... felt sleepy and took a nap. Woke up in the evening at around errmmm 6:30 p.m.?
I better do something tomorrow. Or at least just go out.
Couldn't believe I made that mistake. Anyway, it's okay now. Anyone knows what was it gets a No-Prize from me.
What's a No-Prize? A No-Prize is what the Marvel comics people gives out when someone at the comics' letter columns spotted a mistake and gave a plausible explanation for the mistake to make sense in the comic. What's the No-Prize? If I recall correctly, it's just a letter from them: "Congratulations! You just won yourself a No-Prize!". Heh, cute.
My mistake? No need for any explanation. "Stupid" is good enough.
YES!! Kamen Rider 555(Faiz) Vol. 4 and 5 DVDs are out!!
Here's the whole set:
From right to left, the top: Vol. 1, 2 and 3. The Bottom: Vol. 4 and 5.
It's Faizathon tonight and tomorrow night. Just finished watching Vol. 4. Need to bring the second disc of Vol. 5 back to the shop to change. It has scratches, like a road map!
So far the best Kamen Rider series. Kamen Rider Agito has a good plot but character development loses out to Faiz. Faiz's plot some what slightly below Agito though. Haven't watch KR Blade yet, still waiting for the DVDs.
Wow! Alot of anime DVDs out at SM Shopping Arcade. Ragnarok: The Animation Vol.1, Full Metal Alchemist Vol. 2 and 3.... I'm gonna be so broke.
About the previous post, it was just some words kept appearing in my head.
I woke up in the middle of the night, last night. Felt very cold. Very dark. The words kept appearing.
Decided to take a warm shower. Got out of the shower and decided to just type it all out. My eyes were closed and I just let my fingers moved to the words that appeared.
Been pretty busy at work today. Haven't had time to sit down and decipher it. If it gets too personal, probably I'll just be vague about it.
Gotta go. A few minutes more and my lunch hour will be up.
Since I can't sleep, I guess I"ll blog some more and make myself crazier.
Ever since I got a better job (still up to debate) and a better pay, I've been telling myself to get this, get that... But nothing turn out fruitful.
Here's what I want:
- A car.
- A Playstation 2.
- A digital camera. I mean, A GOOD digital camera.
- A new computer.
- Save more money (HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAH!!)
Which one should I get first? Logic dictates that THE car would be the obvious choice. But I actually love taking pics... I love playing console/PC games... fool around with the computer (the current one is a few years old and dying).
No spikey do this time. Someone said it didn't looked good. So, I kept the same current style, only shorter. Maybe I can do something different with it by using gel or cream?
"It was Raccoon City's last chance.... and my last chance, my last escape...."
Yay! Resident Evil: Apocalypse did not suck! It's better than average. Most of all, it has Jill Valentine!! Sienna Guillory is just the perfect Jill Valentine. Dang, I can watch the intro of Jill whole day. *droool*
Thank God, Paul WS Anderson did not direct this sequel. It is more of an action move than a "trying to be a horror, but let's throw in some action" movie. Want a good horror-zombie movie? Watch Dawn of the Dead. Want a good funny-zombie movie? Watch Shaun of the Dead.
I won't go into details, to avoid spoilers, but the whole movie is proof that the movie(s) cannot be tied into the game(s). Didn't like some parts of the ending of the movie. Kinda silly. Can't post about it to avoid spoilers again. Some parts were cut. Guess I will have to wait for the DVD.
Here's some Jill Valentine pics for the fan boys. Forgot where I downloaded them:
Gotta drink more water before I dehydrate from drooling too much. :P
Rating of movie: 7.5 out of 10 (extra 2.5 because of Jill/Sienna)
Now, someone go get your fat ass up and write a Silent Hill movie!!
Note 1: In Japan, the RE game series is called "Bio Hazard".
Note 2: The line at the top of the post is an excerpt from the game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
Note 3: Silent Hill is a scary horror-survival game. Also has sequels.
Nothing is going the way it should
I hastily subdue these feelings of impatience
All this anxiety and nervousness is sending my heart into disorder
Just a boy hugging his knees in the midst of it all
Shivering and in tears, I repress all my regret
I cried all night, but now it seems dawn is breaking...
So, undoubtedly you're right
Even though right now I may try to turn back
And I keep on being stubborn about it, though I know it's monotonous
I'll start walking again, this time even farther, and I won't give up
If I could get just one more chance...
I'll keep it all locked away in my heart
Until my dreams come true...
I surrendered myself to a dismal emptiness
in the most critical of times
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't quite reach
Aiming for the shore
I had to swim for my life
Withstanding the current, I can't even raise my voice
It could have been the end right there, but...
I don't think that love can save everything,
but there's something about your smile
that somehow healed my heart, and in your lips
I found the strength to stand up again
If only I could get just one more chance...
The flow of the river is intense even today
But I won't let go of your hand
I'll believe in the love that's in my heart forever
Until my dreams come true...
I don't think that love can save everything,
but there's something about your smile
that somehow healed my heart, and in your lips
I found the strength to stand up again
So, undoubtedly you're right
Even though right now I may try to turn back
And I keep on being stubborn about it, though I know it's monotonous
I'll start walking again, this time even farther, and this time I won't give up
If only I could get just one more chance...
The flow of the river is intense even today
But I won't let go of your hand
I'll believe in the love that's in my heart forever
Until my dreams come true...
Have you ever had a dream, where you met a person, and totally fell in love with him or her? I have. Twice actually.
I can't remember much about the first one. It was very vivid when I woke up. I could even remembered how she looked like, her scent, the way she talked.
Like all good dreams, everything started to slip away. I could only remembered that I met her, and we fell head over heels for each other.
I can't beleive I dreamed about her again! For the second time! This time when I woke up, I started to write things down. Cause, like the first one, everything starts to slip away again. I only manage to jot down the important part of the conversation that we had:
Me "You!"
She: "Yes, it's me."
Me: "What are the chances of bumping into each other again? I miss you so much!"
She: "I miss you too!"
I hold her hand firmly.
Apparently, we talked some more. Can't remember much.
She: "It's time."
Me: "So soon??"
She: "I'm afraid so."
Me: "When will I see you again? Will I even see you again?"
She: "Hush now, we will."
Me: "How do I find you?"
She: "I don't know. I will be looking for you."
Me: "I will do whatever it takes."
She: "I know you will."
She gave me the sweetest smile that I've ever seen and a soft peck on the lips. Though it was just a peck, but it seems like forever. I felt... alive again.
Reality kicks in and I woke up. I used to think the first dream was just my body trying to tell me something. Get laid maybe?
But since the second, I'm not so sure about that anymore. A second dream with the same girl. Maybe I'm communicating with my soulmate? Is that even possible?
Besides sharing the same name and name sake, I really love this song. Especially the lyrics. After the second dream, the lyrics makes so much sense now.
Boring people talk about work all the time. I've already spent 8 hours at work and I don't want to talk about it anymore.
Someone actually said it's good, and guys should be like that. You will be singing to a different tune when your love one kept talking to you 24/7 about his or her work.
"I don't think that love can save everything,
but there's something about your smile
that somehow healed my heart, and in your lips
I found the strength to stand up again."
