Chinese New Year

It has been peaceful so far, but it has only been the first day.

Thought of writing a "Reasons I hate Chinese New Year" post but I"ll wait till a lil bit later and see if there are any new reasons to add on to the list.

After doing some last minute spring cleaning in my room (on CNY eve lah), I've decided to put up the FHM Malaysia 2006 calendar.

For January, not bad. It's Amber Chia. But it's a very lousy pic. Amber is the kind of girl that looks good with minimum make-up and a hair-not-too-crazy-do. No more, no less.

Amber

Since it's the 30th of January already, Amber won't be staying up for too long. Let's have a look at who's on February, shall we?....

Mariah

BLARGH! Mariah. I think I'll put up the Newman mag's calendar for February.

Ok, time to go blog hopping and wish people happy new year...

"Hey, we found your Athrun!". "There's a set of the EF collection figures with an extra Athrun. Bring the Lunamaria to trade lo."

Yatta!! v^_^ ,... ^_^v ,... v^_^v !!

Burglar

S told me that her room was burglarised. It happened when she was in it.

She said she was half asleep and she sensed that there was someone moving around in the room. She at first thought it was her husband. She then realised... it's not! She wanted to get up, but somehow she's too tired to get up.

Later in the morning when she got up, her place is a mess. Her purse's gone. Her mobile's gone, and so's her valuables.

"I can't imagine what would happen if you manage to wake up.", I said. She replied, "I won't be around to kacau you anymore loh! I would be...". "DON'T SAY IT!!", I interrupted her.

She frowned. I wanted to hold her and tell her that it is alright, nothing happened to her... But someone who is more fitting should be doing that.

Scary.

Traffic

Traffic was very bad in the evening. Almost everywhere is jam. The jam at the Subang entrance where there used to be a KFC was even scarier. The queue were so long till all the way to the Federal Highway. Even Damansara is jam.

According to the radio, the various places were because of stalled trailer. Subang? Not sure, they did not mention anything. Brother had to go back by making a detour from Shah Alam and enter from the Seafield school highway.

Otherwise, we won't be able to catch King Kong.

Actually, beat it yesterday. The final boss is such a pain in the @$$.

EAT MY POINTY SOUL EATING STEEL, HIROKO!!!

Went to visit Mie Mie again today.

When I walked in to the ward, I saw her sitting attentively in her cage. She saw me and her eyes grew big and immediately gave out a really loud meow. So loud that even my brother, who's the last one to come in, at the corridoor could hear her.

She looks better. Could recognise people and is aware of her surrounding is a very good sign. Still she has fluctuating fever and refuse to eat. No more diarhea and doc said that in the morning, she was walking around in the cage, trying to find something to play.

She can't come home yet. When she knew about that, she merajuk and didn't want to look at us.

We're planning to bring her back tomorrow and see how she goes. Her refusal to eat could most probably due to not use to the paste-for-food and home sick. Here's hoping she's much more better tomorrow.

ARGH! I'm so pissed with myself!

damn lah

Bought the Gundam Seed Destiny Emotive Figure Collection series 4 (see above) a few weeks ago with brother. Did a check on the spot at XL-Shop and I was certain that we have a full two set. Brought'em back and did not check again.

You know what happened? While trying to sort them out so that I can give brother his set, I found that we have 1 Athrun (first from the top row, on the right) and 3 Lunamaria (The one with the pink mini-skirt)!!!!!

Called Kenji to asked if he had an extra or something at the shop. Unfortunately, all sold out and there were never extras.

Sigh. Since Luna and Athrun both are wearing the ZAFT uniform, I must have not checked properly and mistaken them for each other.

Brother was totally cool with it. He asked me to keep Athrun for my set, since he know I'm an Athrun fan... so nice of him. But now I feel bad. Kenji told me that he would try to find one for me. Dunno how. Maybe from friends?

Have scoured the Net in hopes of finding someone selling their collection by selling Athrun only or with Cagali as a set but no luck. Animetech still has a full set but going for RM 100+. Sigh. Worst comes to worst I guess I would have to get one more set just for my brother's Athrun!!

Damn my eyes.

OH SHHHHHIII~

We just call you, TRANSFORMERS~!

Received an email from Lynn on the grand mother of some big shot in our company has passed away and they are collecting "pak kum" for her.

The name sounded familiar, so I sent a message through MSN and asked: "Is blablabla the chubby big eye girl?"

Lynn did not reply. Probably busy.

After a while, checked MSN and Lynn's status is "busy" with "Do not disturb! Laptop is on projector!"

OH SHHHHHHHHIII~

Told MJ about it. MJ said she messaged Lynn more embarrassing (if others read) thing.

"Luckily you did not ask if blablabla is the one that is sleeping with so-and-so.", she said. I said, "Yeah, luckily didn't ask 'you know, the so-and-so is doing her one?'"

Lesson No.1: Comp on netmeeting or projector, please turn off your instant messenger!

Lesson No.2: When ask something that you do not one a third (or fourth or fifth) person to read, ask if coast is clear!

Luckily when we sent the message to her, her notebook wasn't connected to the projector yet.

Geez, haven't seen or talk to you for quite some time, now talk to you can or not? Concern that's why ask "How are you?"...

Starbucks

You know that Subang Jaya, SS15 Lim Mee Yoke shop? Right beside the SS15 McD's? It's now've been replaced by Starbucks. Saw it while walking back home from the commuter train station.

Previously saw Lim Mee Yoke closed down. Thought it was some renovation in progress or cleaning in progress after some kind of raid done by MPSJ. Apparently not.

That Starbucks there looks absolutely gorgeous. Sorry no pics. Perhaps tomorrow I will bring the digicam out with me.

Who wants to go there and have a cup of coffee with me?

Wasted A Whole Day

Wasted the whole Saturday. But trying to recover from flu shouldn't be regard as wasting, no?

You know the feeling, you are falling sick, joints aching... every morning nose's running like mad, but after awhile, it's not that bad.

This has to be stopped!! Woke up at around 12 noon (I don't know how I manage to sleep till that late) but after lunch and some time on the PS2, I return to bed with nothing on. The fan and the air-cond that is.

Woke up in the evening at around 7pm and felt much better. Now If I could get myself to sleep so I can do what I've planned to do on Sunday....

Presentation

Some woman from some support team in Singapore has contacted Tai Kar Cher that, since my team has been accessing the system to the customer's network for 2 years, they would like someone to show it to them over Netmeeting.

Was suppose to do it today, but figured tomorrow, Friday as the call volume would be usually lower, it would be much more convenient. Arranged with her by email... didn't realised that then she sent out conference call invitation to, apparently her whole team!! WTH?!

There's really nothing to show really, basically you just input your login ID, password and the server name/IP address and you are connected. I should call and inform her that tomorrow, before they make pop-corn and expect some kind of long elaborated presentation.

"Input your login Id, password and server name...viola! You are now in!"

"That's... it??"

Chih-Yung Power School

One of my current TV program that I follow almost religiously is 志永智勇電力學校 (Chih-Yung Power School), a wacky Taiwanese variety program hosted by 蔡康永 (Su Yung Kang) and the sweet 林志玲 (Lin Chi Ling).

Yung Kang And Chi Ling

One night, while surfing the channel, I accidentally found this show. "Hey, isn't that Chi Ling?", that basically was enough to convince me to stay on that channel to watch more. There. I admit, it was Chi Ling that got me into the show but it was the wackiness of the show that made me come back for more.

The premise of the show is like this, every week they have a class or two of secondary school students in the show. A celebrity would be invited and questions would be asked from the students. Usually the celebrity would be in the show for about half an hour. After that it's usually some sort of game for the students to compete. Recently they added a third segment like "Pretty girl/boy from school in music/sports/blabla".

The questions the students asks can be down right personal and hilarious, ranging from "Who do you sexually fantasize when you were a teenager?", "Who do you search for, when you search for porn?" to "What's your favourite colour?". The show would be extra fun when the celebrity is sporting enough to do (or attempt to do)/answers the requests/questions of the students.

Chih-Yung Power School currently showing on Astro, TVBS channel (channel 31) at Saturday 7:30 pm. Repeats on Sunday 12:30am and 10am.

With the introduction of the show out of the way, I"ll continue with the real reason I want to blog about. Read below...

Being Childish: Let's Go Rider Kick!

Was watching Chih-Yung Power School earlier and this week they have one male model in as a guest.

One of the student's request is to have him say "Pikachu" in a very cartoony voice. After the male model did his impression of Pikachu and all the girls go all ga-gaa over him, the student asks: "Usually are you childish in any way?" (or something like that). He answered yes. When he was still in high school, whenever he's riding bike with his friend and when they are starting to speed, his friend would say "去吧,神奇寶貝! (Let's go, Pokemon!)" , he would then in his best pikachu voice: "皮卡丘~!(Pikachuuu!)".

"Does that qualifies as childish?", He asked. This reminds me of the time back in high school. I have this friend who has tution classes that he has to attend about 2 hours right after school. Since he's staying in Kampung Subang, he thought it was quite inconvenient to ride his motorbike back, bathe and other stuff and then come back to Subang to attend the tuition class. So, he asked if he could take a bath at my house. I don't see why there's any problem with that.

So, usually on that day that he has tuition, we would meet up and he would fetch me back home. He asks, "Are you holding on tight?". After having a firm grip at the side of the bike, "Yes."

*Krriiikeeee VROOM.. VROOMM... VRRROOOOOOOMMMM*!!!..

I always thought riding a bike is cool, so I can't help started singing:

"Semaru shokkaa jigoku no gundan~ Ware-ra wo nerau kuroi kage~ Sekai no heiwa wo amoru tame~ Go! Go! Let's Go! Kagayaku mashin... Raidaa (Jump!) Raidaa (Kick!)~ Kamen Raidaa Kamen Raidaa~ Raidaa Raidaa~!"

Yeap, the theme to the first Kamen Rider show, Let's Go Rider Kick. My friend was -.-" all the way back. Luckily he did not kick me off.
