Either they don't understand or thought it was boring.

But there's someone who has seen it and love it? Other than me of course. Hard to believe.

Chih Yung Power School Final Episode

So the inevitable happened on last Saturday. The show's over. :(

The final episode did not have any celebrity guests. However, they did have some girls from the stage show industry as guests. The one who dressed up like the Milk Maid from children stage show was pretty sweet and funny.

The final half an hour have them watching clips of previous episodes. All funny as heck and all involved Chi Ling. Ahh, too bad.

NOW WHAT AM I GOING TO DO ON SATURDAY NIGHT?

A bit of surfing have found this piece of news: Lin Chi-ling Slammed for Ancient Beauty Role. So, this is what she left Chih Yung Power School for.

For those who don't know yet, Chi Ling will be in John Woo's The War of Red Cliff. It has caused an uproar as Chi Ling will be playing Xiao Qia, along with Tony Leung and Chow Yuen Fatt in the movie.

They were complaining about her too modern looks and kiddie voice. To be fair, Tony Leung and Chow Yuen Fatt doesn't look like they came from olden times either. Both of them look quite modern, in my opinion. But they still manage to pull it off in so many olden period movies and series.

"TAIWAN'S NO.1 BEAUTY"

Ever heard of make up? Ever heard of costumes? Ever heard of acting??! Geez. Her voice on the other hand, she would have to find a way to overcome it :P. Ever since she became popular, there has been nay sayers everywhere. "Taiwan's No.1 Beauty" wo, definitely some people's eyes will turn red.

"THE BEAUTY THAT CAN MAKE BIRDS ALIGHT AND FISHES DROWN, THE MOON HIDE AND THE FLOWERS BLUSH FOR SHAME AT THE SIGHT OF HER FACE"

Now that's a very big shoe to fill. Hope she'll do the role justice and then maybe she'll be in more movies in the future.

志玲加油!!

Final Episode of Chih Yung Power School To Air This Coming Saturday

NOOOOOO!! I knew they recently shot the final episode, but didn't know it would end so soon! :(

Saw the next episode preview right after the The Ultimate Victory. Alot of hugging was going around and there was one scene with Chih Ling crying and saying good bye, telling us that the show has reached it's temporaral "full stop", and it would be back in the future.

A week or two ago, bro gave me the heads up that on an article in a chinese news paper about the final episode being shot. I thought the ratings were pretty good, how could it get canceled?

Apparently, Chih Ling won't be around due to her some involvement in something and she won't be in Taiwan for some time. Not very clear about it, since there were some Chinese words that I did not understand. -.-'

All good things must come to an end, I guess.

Another long weekend. Gone, just like that. According to the callendar, there won't be anymore public holidays that falls on either Friday or Monday. No more long weekends. Unless I take leave lah wahaha!

Oh, saw FullMetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shambala. Will write a review and my own 2 cents later. The opening song "Link" sung by Larc-En-Ciel is starting to grow on me. Love the starting part of the song. Already heard the ending song "Lost Heaven" on their Awake album, which is pretty good too. Oklah, don't want to talk about it too much, later only can contribute 1 cent to the review only.

Edit: Decided to screw around with the title. Don't want google to mislead surfers to think the trailer is downloadable here.

Saw the new trailer shown at E3 and I've only one word to say: "AMAZING!"

Here's some screen caps.

Mother's Day Dinner

It's tomorrow, but we had it earlier. Don't want to fight the crowd.

Had the dinner at some restaurant called Restaurant 6 To 10 Grill and Nasi Lemak. It's open from 6 To 10, hence the name *rolls eyes*. What do they have there? Western food and nasi lemak.

I had chicken special chop (or something like that, can't remember the exact name), which is basically deep fried. The gravy didn't do it for me. But it's ok.

If you want something that's cheap and food's not bad, I would recommend the place.

Wesak Day 2006

Nothing much to blog about. No one caught on fire while lighting joss sticks or backside got poked by joss sticks. Same old, same old. Went quite early though. So wasn't all that sweaty. Just sticky.

HOLY WATER SHORTAGES, BATMAN!

But one thing to note, a nit pick actually: they used to give out small bottles of holy water and now it's reduced to a tiny packet. "One family one packet only" somemore!. What, donations not enough?

I'm glad they don't let people bring in lighted joss sticks into the indoors of the temple anymore.

Damn inflation. Food sold by stalls here every year has increased again. The flour to make your pastry is made of gold dust ah?

YOU TAKING PICTURES FOR YOUR BLOG, AMIRITE?

A few photographers in some kind of "uniform" running around though. The press perhaps? Dunno. But they stand at the worst possible locations to take pictures. The entrance, for instance. >_<

LOOK LEFT, LOOK RIGHT...

I think hot chicks would still be sleeping at this hour. Hhmmm, maybe I didn't recall correctly last year, but now they have Saint John's on standing by in case someone fainted... or backside got poked by joss sticks.

Happy Wesak Day!

Can't wait to go to the temple later in the morning.

Once again, I'm being reminded of the path ;). Thanks, but I don't think I am ready for it yet. Soon though.

I'm Trying To Understand Here.

There's this friend, who always on MSN messenger, just messages to say "Hi" and nothing else.

I dunno what happened. We used to talk. But then later on it is just a message or two with a "Hi" or a "Hi" and some favour or "tech support".

Today, I even outright asked her what's going on:

HiByeFriend: "Hi"

Me: "Hello, how can I help you?"

....

......

.......

.........

Few minutes later....

Me: "So, how are you?"

HiByeFriend: "Me ok lah. You?"

Me: "I'm fine. On leave today."

....

.....

......

Another few minutes later...

HiByeFriend: "You're at home?"

Me: "Yes. I on leave lok :)"... "You?"

....

.....

......

.......

More minutes later....

Me: "So anything?".... "What's with you and a message saying "Hi" and you don't want to talk? Am I missing something here??"

....

.....

......

.......

No answer at all and she just went offline.

It's not like I'm just keeping quiet, wondering what's going on. I asked. If there's something that you want to talk about, just spit it out. If you just want to dropby and say "Hi", just say so. If you need help, ask. If you find me boring to talk to, come up with an excuse or something and say ya gotta go, busy or some shit.

What am I suppose to do? Read minds? "You want cookie! Here is one for you!". I'm really at lost here... This is not the first time. Maybe the above conversation might show that I'm not a good conversationalist. But in the past, I've even tried to prolong the conversation, asking about any new good movies she has seen or whatever that is related to her interest.

Am I being insensitive? Maybe this should be filed under "W". "W" for WTF.

The Wet Market

While on leave last Friday, on MSN messenger, S told me that some group of people are moving in to our floor: at the cubicles beside ours.

Came back to work this Monday and kind of got a shock seeing so many people sitting there. It used to be just a handful of people only you see. My Team and two "exiled" agents from the other team next door.

Suddenly. Helpdesk Agents. Thousands of them!

Ok, that's just over-exagerating.

Long time ago, the cubicles were occupied by some agents who supports Japanese customers. They were quieter. More... normal.

These new group of people who just moved in from God knows where. are also helpdesk agents. Supporting some other company. Making calls out, receiving calls... oh, yelling accross cubicles.

Talking aloud to someone who's seated next to you or behind you is alright. But shouting to someone who's two rows accross?.....

"I guess it's official now. This place has turned into a wet market."

It used to be cold. It used to be like a tomb. It used to be quiet. Just the way I like it. Well, it's quiet until one of the "exiled" agents open her mouth and shrieks like a banshee... on crack.

I used to complain to S about that banshee on crack's annoyance. She's all quiet when alone but whenever one of her team member comes over... hooo boy, cover your ears ladies and gentlemen >_<. It's not just the volume. It's also the tone and the pitch. How do you tell such people off? "Just don't open your mouth" is definitely rude.

Now, it's just constant noise. Didn't get enough sleep on Sunday night just made it worst. Felt like want to vomit and head's about to explode.

"...."

Actually, now I've gotten more used to it. Just can't stand people yelling accross the room. I mean come on, someone could be on the phone, trying to listen to what the customer is saying. Or maybe it's just me. Need to re-learn on how to focus on a single source of noise.

Let's hope I don't go ape shit on everyone.

Wedding Pics and Cosplay?

S recently showed me her wedding pics. She uploaded them to Yahoo! Pics and sent me the link. Pics had her and hubby in their wedding attire, kimono and some 60s/70s fashion clothing.

Of course, can't show it here.

So, now they have it in a package for taking wedding pics huh? Gimmicky and a way to milk more money from poor unsuspecting couples for a once in a lifetime experience.

"Cosplay?", "Yeah, costume play."

I seem to remember seeing my godbro's wedding pics. They had one that looked like Winter Sonata. According to my godbro lah. The more old fashion uncles and aunties thought it was from The Bund (上海灘). You know, that old HK TV series, with Chow Yun Fatt and that theme song Lonnngg Paann~ Lonnggg Laaauuu~. Poor godbro had to keep correcting them.

MOON PRISM POWER!~ MAKE UP!

So, hmm what's next? Video game characters? Anime/Manga characters? Whatever rocks people's boat. But it would be freaking wrong if the couple would dress up like Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.
