Iron Man Movie

i am iron man

Tony Stark makes you feel,
He's a cool exec,
With a heart of steel!

Already saw twice.

First time was "ok only". Not that it's bad or average, it's actually great. But it just left me wanting for more. You know that kind of feeling.. where you going to orgasm, you came! But you just stop cumming half way.

Anyway, the second time was much better. As a movie, it's good. As a comic book movie, it's fantastic. Right up there with Batman Begins and Spider-Man 2.

Cast was great. RDJ was awesome. So was Jeff Bridges. Couldn't even recongnise him, only his voice. Terrence Howard was lovable. Gwynneth Paltrow, so far the best leading actress for a superhero comic book film. Definitely better than that Katie Holms and Kirstent Dunst.

One complain. Not enough action. But since it's a "set up" film, they won't have anymore exscuse for not putting in more action for the sequel.

Some comic book trivia/easter eggs:

- Captain America's shield in the scene where Pepper caught Tony trying to take his armour off.

- Call sign Whiplash 1 & 2 for the Raptors. Whiplash is one of the villians from the comics. He appeared in the movie game.

- Swing version (on my imeem now) of the old cartoon theme (also on my imeem now) playing during the apogee awards and when Tony's at the casino.

- Ringtone of the old cartoon theme ringing when Tony calls Jim, while having two F-22 on his tail.

- JARVIS, the computer names after the english butler of The Avengers. In the novel adaption, JARVIS stands for Just Another Really Very Inteligent System.

- Jon Favreu the director, plays Tony's bodyguard, Happy Hogan.

- The Ten Rings. Ten rings of the Mandarin.

- This could be just a conicidence, the SR-71 aka the Black Bird was mentioned when Tony discovered the icing problem for the Mark II. The real life unmodified SR-71 was used by the X-Men.

- Cause I am a lazy bastard copied from IMDB, "S.H.I.E.L.D., the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Engagement and Logistics Division was known in the comics as Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-Enforcement Division. It became Strategic Hazard Intervention, Espionage Logistics Directorate in 1991."

- After credits scene SPOILER: Samuel L. Jackson plays the Ultimates version of Nick Fury, Director of SHIELD.

- And of course, if you haven't knew this already, end credits with armour designs is Black Sabbath's Iron Man song.

I think that's about it for stuff that are related to the comics. Even on the second viewing, I missed Cap's shield.
