Cheng Beng 2006

Yeap, it's that time again.

Went back to Tanjung Tualang for this year's Cheng Beng on Saturday. Was busy burning CDs for the trip on Thursday and Friday. Brought:

- Gundam Seed Destiny Opening and Closing songs collection
- Asian Kung Fu Generation's Kunkei 5 M *ahem* version
- Collection of Tokusatsu and anime songs A
- Collection of Anime songs B
- Kamen Rider Hibiki OST
- PS2 Shinobi game OST

Manage to listen to most of them except KR Hibiki and PS2 Shinobi game OST. So, kinda wasted time burning them, but haiya... sure it will eventually has it's usefullness one day.

Surprisingly, this year I was looking forward to this trip. Last year was a bit reluctant. Previously, while still schooling, usually that would be exams and assignment as ammo for excuses to not go for Cheng Beng. When graduated, because of work schedule, more ammo for excuses.

So, it's the same old routine. Woke up early that morning. Well, actually parents woke up early at around 6 and I woke up at 6:30am :P.

If you live in Subang, you would know where this is.

Reached there, straight went to the grave and cleaned it up. Whole day's weather's just.. cloudy. Only some parts of the trip that it rained. No relatives this time... hmmm...

The horizon again, my favourite view from the cemetery:

Yes, yes, it's a different pic than in last year's post.

The seeds of tomorrow
Some sort of plant grew out of the grave.

After finishing what we're suppose to do here, we went to visit our Grand Uncle.

WTf, some field.

He looked better! Apparently my dad's method of treating his knee and back aches worked: vinegar and squashed ginger bandaged on the affected areas!

Went out to had lunch with him. From what we heard from him, he said that the other relatives had planned to do cheng beng tomorrow (Sunday). No wonder lah. Guess don't get to see the white-sheet-of-a-paper cousin this time.

After lunch, dropped him at the place where we would have desert later and we went to the temple to pray. Had my fortune told here and most of what it was told came true. So thought, this time would like to try again.

Nope, not palm reading, face reading or foot reading. It's one of those where you would kneel, shake a bunch of "sticks" from the cylinder until one of it drops out type. "Kao chim" in Cantonese or "kiu chiam" in Hokkien. Anyway, got a bad one for this year. Not telling. At least there are ways to prevent it.

So after praying and burned some joss sticks, we went to meet up with the Grand Uncle. Yeap, had the Wan Tao Long jelly drinked again. Annd after desert, dropped him back home and we went on our way back.

Heard Dad said that TT actually just lived a few rows away from Grand Uncle's house! No, not going to dropby and have a vist. Apparently she had came back last week and she won't be returning to Tanjung Tualang this week.

Why did the cows crossed the road?
HOLY COWS!

OH NOES! He's going for the goal!
The striker battles it out with the goal keeper.... who will win?

Came back. So tired. Slept the rest of the day and night. Couldn't get proper sleep while in the car.
