Gotta admit, started reading this when I've heard a movie's coming out.

Just even before the mini-series concludes, a movie's been announced in issue 7.

Then I read that even before the first issue been released, rights to the movie were already sold.

Since the series isn't even finish yet, I wonder if the movie ending would be the same as the books?

Arcades

Nostalagia post.

Was reading a post on the forum I frequent. They were talking about arcades.

What happened to them? Now only big shopping malls have them, and usually they don't have much games except bigger machines like DDR, on-rails-shooting, racing. Shoot em ups, beat em ups and fighting games has become much less.

Back in the day, I used to frequent the arcades. Boy was it fun. Except the second hand smoking of course.

Listing out which games at the arcades are my favourite would be like trying to list out what are my favourite food. Off the top of my head, favs would be the Street Fighter games, Metal Slug and KOF series. Yeah, I'm quite the fighting game nut.

Ever since arcades almost went extinct (blame consoles), I haven't really been to one and play in it (Except that one time, of course). Mostly just have a look as to what games they have, while waiting for the schedule movie to start.

This. Definitely this, I want to try before I die. The Mobile Suit Gundam: Bonds of the Battlefield game.

The Batman is Dead! Long Live The Batman!

The 3rd issue that wraps up the whole mini series came out last week. Ultimately reveals who picks up the mantle of the Bat, after Batman "died" during Final Crisis.

Hold it, whoah! How did Batman die? He basically had a mexican stand off with Darkseid. Threathening Darkseid with a New God killing bullet, while Darkseid shoots his Omega Sanction beams at him.

After the word got out that Batman is missing or dead, the criminals all came out of the wood work to wreak havoc. The Bat Family enlisted all their related allies to help clean up Gotham.

At the same time, Jason Todd dons the cowl with guns ablazing, klling all criminals, and everyone in his way. It's up to the Bat Family - Nightwing, Robin, Damian to stop him!

Since, anyone who has been following DC comics can easily predict how it would end.... Yeap, Jason is stopped and presume dead. Dick Grayson (Nightwing) becomes Batman.

It's a no brainer. Who would be more suitable to (temporary) be the Batman other than the first son of the Bat?

Story is pretty much just filler. We all know how it's going to end. But it's fast pace enough to be entertaining. At least it's only 3 issues and not being pretentious and dragged up to 6 issues or longer.

Man, it's nice to see the yellow oval Bat symbol costume again. Even for just a few pages of a short time.

Deleted Data/Photos

Able to recover data and photos is always a good thing. At least for me.

At times you are doing a mass delete, and your favourite gravure pic was accidentally clicked into the whole bunch and deleted... recovering them would be like a God given miracle. Like the skies split open, and the pic is brought back by Valkyries bringing your pic back from Gravure Valhala.

However, if you regretted taking nude pics or various sexploits... you would have to worry whenever the computer is sent to the workshop.

It's even worst for photos uploaded to the Internet.

They occasionally have it on and on last week's episode, while in the bus; one of them suggested to turn on the radio and listen to Girls Generation. And, the familiar tune comes out. The dude makes this funny retarded eyes rolled to the back white out head bobbing to the music.

So, guess what I did? Typing in Girls Generation Gee in Youtube and I got this:

We have movies about haunted wigs, shoes, video tapes, mirrors, websites and ring tones. So, i guess this one can be called as a haunted film.

Movie's basically about people started dying after watching a yet to be release (hence the title "Coming Soon") horror movie. Shen and Peod both works at a cinema. They both made a deal with the local DVD pirates, to cam the movie before it is released.

On the night of the job, Shen fell asleep in the projector room and Peod who's responsibility is to film the movie with a digital video camera went missing. No body, no blood. No nothing. Except for the video camera that is lying on the floor.

Upon replaying the video camera, Shen found clues as to what had happened to his friend. Then weird things start to happen to Shen.

Finally. Another movie from the makers of Shutter and Alone. Have been a fan of their works. But I am afraid this one, in my opinion, has fallen short.

The previous two has a more realistic feel to it. Plot is a mystery and slowly unfolds. Usually has a big reveal.

Coming Soon in the first half, follows the same formula, but the big reveal happens right in the middle. Then it starts to turn into the generic, demon/ghost/monster thingy stalks and hunts the main characters and they try to find a way to beat the big bad.

Still, it is still watchable. If you are expecting the same formula of their previous works, you might be disappointed. I gotta give them credit for having an original plot.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Saw it last Thursday night.

This movie basically tells you the story of how Wolverine came to be. When his powers manifested, how he got the adamantium and how he got screwed over by practically everyone.

It precedes the X-Men movies, and I'm going to say it's more like a first prequel (in case this gets a sequel haha), as the X-Men movies were basically "Wolverine and his pals, The X-Men".

Story/Plot is Full of holes and didn't felt properly paced after the first half of it. The main problem with it is trying to cram too much in just 107 minutes. The opening war montage is pretty cool.

Soundtrack felt... forgettable. I've already forgotten how the main theme sounds like.

The action is cool. Some parts of the special effects look fake though. WTF no blood?! But overall, you can expect some really cool butt kicking moves.

Props to Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber who basically carried the whole movie. Ryan Reynolds for stealing the lime light in whichever scene he appeared in. Others are pretty much moving eye candy and not necessarily a bad thing though.

Try to look out for mutant cameos and a surprise guest star.

Final verdict: Slightly disappointed. Wolverine's feral nature felt castrated. Guess this always happens in other media outside of comics. But despite it's weaknesses, it is still an entertaining piece of action film. Eye candy for the women. Action for the dudes.

It's that time again.

This morning was the same old, same old. Woke up at around 6 plus in the morning to prepare to go to the temple for prayers.

Seems like we came out pretty much early this time. Temple's not that packed yet. At least on the outside/compound of the temple.

Saw the volunteer nurse. Same one every year. Think if not mistaken. She makes me feel older just by growing up.

There was this big ass white Labrador lying under the fan. It just looks at you and wag it's tail if you call out to it. Some dude just went over to pat it and it just lie down, enjoying the attention. Very cute. It probably thinking, if you want to pat me, you should be coming over instead of me, coming over. Hahaha.

No no I'm not watching the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango. ~~I only secretly like one of the songs~~ But my mom is. It's currently showing on KBS World.

Though it's showing on KBS World, but that doesn't stop my mom from watching it online. All because of my big fat mouth for introducing her to watching streaming TV shows.

Mom watching it for the guys? I highly doubt it. Never heard her praise any of the guys. Most probably most of them look too feminine for her taste.

Surprisingly, she talks more of Jan Di for being astonishingly cute and tom boyish. I think she secretly wants a daughter.

I gotta admit though, Koo Hye Sun is incredibly cute with those pig tails.

I'm gonna be on the look out for the DVD set for my Mom from Speedy Video or something... they quite often bring in korean drama TV series DVD sets.

I said I was suppose to be watching G.I. Joe Resolute episode 3, 4, and 5. But I end up doing my income tax. Besides, I just manage to get the finale. So everything at one shot would be better. Better quality too.

Anyway, have you done your income tax? It's already 28th of April as I typed. I just finished it earlier. Most probably would drop by to the local Income Tax department branch and drop the forms into the drop box.

Yeah, I'm still pretty old fashion. Still don't quite trust the online system. Most probably I would continue to do so till they force me to do it online... or a last minute submission.

G.I. Joe: Resolute Episode 1 and 2

This is not your father's G.I. Joe. Supposedly more mature and dark where people die for real. No laser guns or parachutes deployed.

Episode 1

It starts off with the murder of Major Bludd and the USS Flagg got blown up.

Skies turned red and rockets were launched.

The Joes discovers how they got their ass kicked right under their nose.

Turns out Cobra has launched a whole cluster of satelites that cover all over the globe. Cobra Commander announces himself to the UN. Give me the keys to the world or die. Cobra Commander gives a demo with the destruction of Moscow

Episode 2

Snake Eyes receives an invitation from an old friend.

Duke tells Scarlett she could follow Snakes Eyes, or she could stay.

She chooses to stay. Don't tell me they are going to put in a love triangle?

Snake Eyes kicking ass and taking names....

... while Storm Shadow watches on.

Thoughts:

Episode 1's pretty much just a set up. Episode 2 is where the action is. Pretty smooth ninja fighting. Snake Eyes, as usual, is the man! BGM reminds me of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Especially the part where Snake Eyes' gliding.

I"ll watch Episode 3,4, and 5 tomorrow.

What Have I Been Up To

Stopped blogging for a few months. Couple of months back, bought a new computer and basically been pretty "busy" with it. Trying to install to the right settings, software and transferring data stuff. Play games that I always wanted to play, but the old one couldn't support.

So what's next? Both Casshern Sins and Gundam 00 has ended. I haven't been really following it, but I"ll watch and see if I want to continue reviewing them. But I"ll definitely do Sengoku Basara and Shin Mazinger Impact!

Dragon Ball Kai's been good. The remastered series where they cut out the fillers, and follow more closely to the manga. But I think everyone and their grand mother has seen DBZ.

Think that's it for the time being.

Casshern Sins Episode 5

Casshern angsty by himself again.

Missing for the whole episode of episode 4, Friender arrives.

"Are you crying?"

Claw Blade Girl shows up. Wanting to kill Casshern again. Told Casshern her sob story, about her sister. How she died because of him.

Claw Blade Girl's sister is one of Luna's bodyguards. She failed to stop Casshern from killling Luna and is the first victim of the ruin.

Casshern gives himself up to Claw Blade Girl. Hesiated, but attacked after remembering her sister. Despite her efforts to hack and slash Casshern to death, Casshern keeps heals up by himself.

Casshern's eyes suddenly lid up and punches Claw Blade Girl. Sending her flying.

Friender saves Claw Blade Girl before Casshern can deliver the final blow. Claw Blade Girl says she couldn't stand a chance.

After realising what he has done.. Casshern ups and leaves.

Ringo and Old Android with a bunch of robots and androids found a place where it has lots of spare parts. Now they can replace their busted rusty parts... prolonging their death.

Several BBERs shows up. They have been following them to see what they are up. BBERs wants the spare parts and starts to kill them. BBER was about to kill Ringo, but Casshern shows up to save her. Again.

After realising who he is, BBERs starts to attack Casshern. Killing a robot girl in the process.

Oops. Casshern's pissed. Casshern goes into that mode again and goes on a killng spree.

untill....

Ringo manage to stop Casshern before he kills android girl.

Casshern wonders why he can't stop himself even after all BBERs are dead. Old Android said that he doesn't have a limiter. He will keep fighting till everything is destroyed.

"THAT IS BECAUSE YOU ARE CASSHERN!"

A mysterious figure appears and answered Casshern. Episode 5 Ends.

Went to Kinokuniya to pick up my reserved Newtype the Live November issue and I stumbled into this:

Yes. It's the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - Nia Portraits art book. No Yoko's though. But I had it on reorder.

I personally thought it was reasonably cheap. Not more than RM100 for an art book, and the pages are damn thick. Pretty impressive.

So, we have a new bitch in the house.

She gets along with Mickey. Tiny and Miemie are both terrified of her. Toffie is scared, but since Toffie is a Red Lantern, Lucky is more terrified of him than her. Toffie attacks before he runs. But it seems like Toffie tollerates her now.

Bandai and Medicom collaborated under the Project BM! title to make this Kamen Rider Den O Sword Form 12" figure.

Compared to the previous ones like The Next: No.1, The Next: V3 and Kabuto, it sure is alot more expensive. I'm not counting the mail away exclusives.

Well it comes with more alternate hands to recreate all his trademark poses, the Den Liner pass card for doing his charging Hisatsu Attack Part 1,2, 4 (it skip a part as it's too awesome) and so on... the sword.. and the parts before it formed into the sword.

Still cheaper than Hibiki though.

Episode 2 proves that Setsuna has becoming even more bad ass.

Episode starts with 3 months earlier... the Celestial Beings crew were testing on the Twin GN Drive system on 00 Gundam. It wouldn't work and their only hope is to use Exia's drive.

Of course, they have it now that Setsuna has rejoined.

Setsuna recruitig the new Lockon Stratos. Tells Lyle about his brother.. being a Gundam Meister and how he died. Setsuna gave Lyle information on Celestial Beings and leaves... confident that he won't turn them in.

Colonel Kati Mannequin and Soma joins the A-Laws.

Who is this masked man?

Saji still on board Celetial Beings' Ptolemius...

... and found out it wasn't the Setsuna/Celestial Beings fault.

Sumeragi. Now an alcoholic and Billy's been taking care of her. Setsuna came to take her back.

Kataron members explains The Federation's tyranical methods.

Marina Ismail arrested.

Wang Liu Mei thinks she's the puppet master. Leaking Ptolemius position to Ribbons.

A Laws located Ptolemius and launched Aheads to attack...

Tierra/Seravee defends and buy time for Sumeragi, Lyle and Setsuna to board Ptolemius.

Setsuna boards 00... and launched. Made short work of the Aheads.

Billy devastated about Sumeragi being a member of Celestial Beings.

What a dick... that Setsuna. He should have warn everyone that "oh hey, I'm bringing Lockon's TWIN brother to join us...". Instead, he lets everyone thinks he's Neil and then tell them it's actually Lyle. LOL.

Another great episode. Great mecha action. But I think the art for human faces has seem kinda drop. They look a bit off.

I actualy have seen episode 3.. but I'm waiting for episode 4, then Ill do the review em at one go.

Gundam 00 S2 Episode 1

Let's have a summary of what had happened by the end of the final episode of season 1:

- Neil Dylandy aka Lockon Statos KIA. Along with several members of Celestial Beings.
- Celestial Beings - destroyed.
- The 3 World factions, Union, HRL, AEU bands together for world peace after defeating Celestial Beings.
- Louise lost her whole family (each and every uncle aunts, etc.) and a hand. Broke up with Saji as a result
- Setsuna KIA?.
- Allelujah captured.
- Ribbons the one who was pulling all the strings.

I think that was pretty much it.

"Nothing has change. This is not the world we wanted. Not Lockon... Not Me. Nothing has changed at all!"

Just saw Episode 1 tonight. It rocked! Animation is as usual, top notch.

Here's some key moments:

The Federations' A-Laws were formed to fight any rebel factions. New MS Ahead kicks all old MS' butts. A-Laws are brutal. Probably rulling the world with an iron fist?

Saji Crossroad's arrested just because of his colleague being involved with the rebel faction, Kataron.

Kataron tries to recue their members at Proud, an industrial colony where rebels and suspects were kept captive and forced to work. Alaws intercepted and sent in robots to kill all prisoners.

Celestial Beings reappears! Began their armed intervention at Proud.

Setsuna F. Seiei is alive. Has been infiltrating the A-Laws by himself. While infiltrating, rescued Saji at the Proud colony.

Gundam Exia! minus an eye, and an arm....

Louise joined the A-Laws and is apparently on some kind of drugs. Freaks out at the sight of Exia.

Setsuna/Exia is no match for the brand new Aheads...

Rescued by Tierra's Gundam Seravee in the nick of time.

Soma has been living with Sergei. Sergei's son, Andrei have joined the ALaws and is ordered to pick up Soma to join.

Allelujah Haptism....

And the episode ends with:

Lyle, Neil's twin brother... recruited by Setsuna. Setsuna blackmails him (Lyle's a member of Kataron) to join Celestial Being as the new Lockon Stratos.

1st episode starts off strong. Opening song sung by Uverworld is nice. Gonna watch episode 2 now.

Stayed home today due to my rhinosinusitis and fever.

Didn't even realised I have fever until the doc took my temperature.

Yay, stayed at home and can watch Gundam 00 you say? No.

Doc gave me a med for the nose... its the drowsy type. Took it and went to bed till lunch.

Some time in the middle I think I heard Dad came in and ask me if I was asleep.... or something else. I wonder what the hell was that about. Guess it wasn't important since he didn't mention about it again.

So, I tried a bit of experiment on the drowsy meds. I took it after lunch, and drank a cup of coffee.

Results? Still drowsy.

I took a second cup, less thick (I'm actually cutting down coffee). Results? Still drowsy.

The point of this? Ahahah I dunno.

Anyway, since I get it alot, I thought I read up on a more direct non-drug remedy.

Yeah, there's drink more water, get enough sleep, humidifier... then there's the scary nasal cleansing with water/salt water/saline/etc.

Wonder how well that works.

I wonder how many people lost the bet...

After the flashback and opening, scene starts with the introduction of Sophita also known as the Angel of Ruin.

Sophita is at some robot settlement. Picking fights with robots. Robots runs from Sophita like headless chickens.

BBER and his goons arrived to stop Sophita. We learned that this BBER is one of Braiking Boss' personal guards.

Sophita says he won't be a match for her as one of his arm is ruined. BBER leaves with his goons.

Casshern wanders around wondering who is he and why the world have turned like this because of him. Sophita shows up. Sophita impress with how Casshern looks... pretty and strong. Casshern asks her to buzz off. Sophita follows anyway.

Sophita says she must fight him no matter what, since he looks strong. Casshern says he's not necessarily strong, just that he can't die. Oops, he shouldn't have said... that.

See?

Some robots arrived as Casshern is trespassing. Sophita asks Casshern to run as she holds them off. Casshern and Sophita made short work of the robots. Sophita is impressed. Casshern leaves, ignoring Sophita.

Sophita stalks Casshern.

Sophita tells Casshern the reason why she loves fighting so much.

Whenever she fights, she gets excited... it makes her feel alive. Casshern tells her to leave him alone. He doesn't want to fight. He doesn't even like fighting. If he can, he rather die. Casshern leaves. Sophita follows.

Sophita intercepted by BBER and his goons. Goons were no match and BBER and Sophita fights.

Sophita was not able to cut up BBER as easily as the others as his body armour is tougher.

Sophita was about to get cut up but was saved by Casshern in the nick of time. Knowing himself is no match for Casshern, BBER leaves.

After seeing Casshern's self healing ability, Sophita wants to fight even more. Sophita attacks Casshern in his sleep. "I will fulfill your wish!". They fight. Sophita declares that she loves Casshern, and fighting is the only way she can share her feelings.

Casshern beats down Sophita a few times but Sophita refuses to stop. Casshern lets her stab himself.

Tears start flowing down from Sophita eyes. Sophita wonders why. Casshern says he's glad... he's glad he didn't go berserk and kill Sophita as her intention of killing him isn't really there. Oh that's why she's crying. Remember kids, trying to kill your lover is not a healthy way of expressing your love.

Sophita asks for Casshern's name. She never asks her opponents name as she would beat them anyway. Sophita says she no longer wants to fight him. "Don't be sad that you can't die,..."

Moooeee!!!... What a classic line. Don't you agree?

Sophita leaves. Leaving Casshern babbles to himself. Episode 4 ends.

Fighting filled episode all thanks to Sophita. Oh, yeah... no one dies at all in this episode. Unless you count some goons. But then again, some of them were only got cut at the limbs and the worst, the waist, into half. Sophita claims she fights without aiming to kill, but the robots are still afraid.

So maybe they would only "die" when their head is destroyed? Seeing as the surviving goons would drag the robots who got cut down and runs. Or maybe they just drag them back for spare parts.

Beginning to wonder whether is there a plot to this series. As usual, animation is superb.

Oh, I think I have never credited the fansubbers before... Yeah, so, subs are done by Shinsen group. Only group who's subbing Casshern Sins. A bit of grammar error from time to time but nothing too bad.

Next episode? Claw Blade Girl returns.

I actually had these a feeewww months ago.

Took pics, was gonna blog it, but totally forgotten about it and the pics were rotting in the hard disk.

I usually don't buy much Japanese food, but after reading some weeaboo comments on various junk food; this, according to them, is very good.

So since an opportunity arrises when the Guardian Pharmacy shop near where I work had it on discount, I got it to try em out.

So, Koalas are made of chocolate paste. It's just a thin cookie wrap around chocolate paste. Or, thin cookie filled with chocolate paste.

I gotta admit. It's quite delicious. Especially the chocolate.

But the price point even after discount doesn't make me wanna run out and buy a whole bunch.

Still, once in a while is ok.

Casshern Sins Episode 3

Seems like each episdoe, before the opening starts, the past of what happened is shown and revealed more. Pretty clever.

Episode 3 starts off where 2 left off.

After a bit of angst, Casshern told Friender that he's going off, "What will you do?". Friender stayed beside Lovey Dovey Dead Android Girl's rusting body.

Some dude who looked like Roy Fokker got chased by a whole lot o BBERs and managed to hide from them. They sure didn't waste anytime telling us that he's sick. He bumps into Casshern.

Human dude talks to Casshern. Casshern asks him to buzz off, if he gets involved with him, Human Dude will die. Humand Dude didn't care but followed Casshern anyway.

Human Dude told Casshern he's been looking for a community of dying robots. Casshern told him they are not there anymore. Human dude gets the hint.

Some "male bonding" scenes.. Human Dude introduced himself as Akoes. Casshern told him his own name, but it seems like Akoes doesn't even know the name...

Casshern only realised Akoes' a human when Akoes have to rest and drink. Looks like Akoes is the first human he met, after his awakening.

More male bonding scenes, Akoes says he's been commiting crimes since he's little and he's been running ever since. Blah blah blah and all that, Casshern probably has found his kindred spirit.

"What am I running from? Do I run to live? or live to run?!"

Friender arrived. Friender left Lovey Dovey Android Girl's body when it crumbled to dust. "Let's settle this!", says Casshern. After a few bites, Casshern told Friender that he's sorry for what he has done, and he is willing to let Friender ends his life.

Friender just bit his collar off (probably thinks it looked stupid) and became buddies with Casshern.

It's daylight. Casshern readies to leave, but Akoes says this is it for him, he's going to find that community anyway... Oh, HEY CASSHAAN! I HUNG OUT WITH YOU AND I AM STILL ALIVE!...

Yay! A happy ending!... :3

Akoes drops dead. Probably been too sick. Deathly monologue from Akoes says he was probably looking for a place to die. He probably thought it seems like a good idea to die with the dying androids. But he died here, in the middle of nowhere anyway.

"Take it easy, Casshern...."

A none fighting episode. Unless you count that encounter with Friender as a fight, there's no super smooth animated fight scenes at all in this episode.

Still, a pretty good episode where they show you what the humans have become.... Numbers dwindling, and sickly. And also one important thing, not everyone dies because of Casshern. Though they're still dropping like flies.

People are already taking bets on the chances of survival by the end of episode 4 of this girl.

Casshern Sins Episode 2

Saw episode 2 last night.

Let's have a super brief recap for episode 1, since I didn't say much about it.

Casshern fights big bad robots. From what he learns from them, he's the main reason the Earth is now a post apocalyptic ruins. Humans are almost extinct. Big Bad Evil Robots (BBERs) didn't fair well either as they start to rot and rust away. Rumour has it if the big bad robots kill and devour him, they would live forever and everything will be normal again. Casshern kill them all.

Casshern meet loli who might or might not be a robot. Loli robot sawans at the sight of Casshern as he's "so pretty". Big Bad Evil Robot almost kills loli robot. Casshern kills BBER. Loli robot afraid of the brutality displayed by Casshern. Loli robot taken away by Oyaji Robot. Enter Claw Blade Girl to taunt Casshern.

So, now episode 2 opens with Claw Blade Girl reveals wanting to kill Casshern. But since Casshern can't remember shit, she flees.

Enter Lovey Dovey Androids. Lovey Dovey Androids sprouts "I love you love me" shits gets attacked by a couple of BBERs.

HECK YEAH, FRIENDER!

Friender defends Lovey Dovey Androids but are no match for BBERs. Enters Casshern at the nick of time and tears BBERs appart.

Casshern learns that Lovey Dovey Androids are a part of a large group full of androids that has decided to gather together to rust and die away... so that they won't be afraid.

Group of dying androids gets attacked by another BBER who's in search of Casshern. Attacking all the andorids as he thinks they are Casshern.

Casshern reveals himself to BBER. Casshern judo chops it to death. Business as usual.

Oops, did I mention Casshern reveals himself? Yeah, apparently all of them starts to believe in the kill and devour Casshern to stay alive... their last hope.

Attacking Zombie Androids?!?!

Being the faster, stronger, tougher cyborg... what does Casshern do? Run?

Run?! LOL WUT?!

He kills them all, of course. Except for Friender and female Lovey Dovey Android. She died anyway by rustting away....

End of Episode 2.

Looks like Casshern at times goes into auto berserk and can't control himself, as demonstrated when the androids decided to "Kill Casshern... Devour Casshern". That was quite a creepy scene... you can even hear some blood curdling scream, "Kill Casshern... Devour Casshern".

Episode 2 is waay more better than episode one, in my opinion. Still dominated by cool smooth action scenes. Episode 1 didn't got me hook. Episode 2 definitely does it now.

Casshern Sins Episode 1

Ore wa.... Casshaan.

Just saw this yesterday morning. I'm not going to talk about the plot. You can read it at the wiki page.

Beautifully animated. Art style reminded me of Saint Seiya OVAs Hades Chapter. Heck, withouth his helmet, he even looked like Seiya.

He's even voiced by Tohru Furuya.

First episodes nothing much. Whole episode were dominated by action scenes.

I have a feeling that the anime is going to be filled with gloom doomed themes since it's set in a post apocalyptic world where humans are almost extinct, and Casshern is the main reason. Or, that's what they want us to think.

I wouldn't recommend it to people yet, but I would recommend it if you like mecha and beautifully smooth animated fight scenes

Haven't played video games till dawn in a very long time.

Was supposely trying out some new games I bought for the PS2:

Sengoku Basara Cross
2D fighter like Street Fighter. Some characters have assist characters, where by the push of a button, he pops out to deliver a blow and runs away.

Animated opening uses Crosswise by TM Revolution. Awesome.

Lego Indiana Jones
Very cute. The cut scenes are pretty funny too.

Lego Batman
Another very cute game. Quite possibly one of the best Batman games. Has all the Dark Knight Detective's stuff, all done in cutesy manner.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Errr, haven't tried yet.

Speed Racer: The Video Game
This one got me hooked most of the time.

Based one year later after the movie. Only based on the T180 races, so no Mach 5 or Shooting Star. Can you believe it? A Speed Racer game without March 5!!!!

Read from gamefaqs.com message board, one of the makers said they have a very short time in making the game. So they picked the T180 racers only.

Controls are actually very simple. I usually sucked at racing games, unless they are arcadish, but I manage to go through a bunch of championships using Speed and his March 6. Should try Racer X tonight.

All the car-fu you see in the movie is here. Coolest thing ever in the game is when you consecutively use the nitros in about 5 times in a row, it gets psychedelic.

Oh yeah, you get to play as Trixie too.

By the time I knew it, it's already 6am, Sunday. Went to bed at about 7am and woke up at 4pm.

What a way to waste a day away.

Anyway, there's this friend who's in my Friendster list who just invited me to his wedding next year. Thru Friendster............ Yeah.

I actually knew him back in high school. I wasn't even in the same class with him. Just knew him through another friend.

We all played basketball together. Of course, him being one of those that got into basketball because of the manga SlamDunk. Back then, SlamDunk has the influential powers of God or something. Even the class idiot wanted to play basketball. It's like suddenly God just came out and said, "Thou shalt play baskettball, bitches!", then everyone starts to dribble.

A bunch of us would always come back after school to play basketball until the sun sets. I will be totally honest. Besides having that manga and basketball, oh yeah, and video games in common, I think I hardly even knew the guy.

He never confided with me in anything. His studies were better than me. Only thing I can recall is that, I taught him how to do the Sky Hook. Or, as we all call it: Kai Hook. Kai as in Cantonese for chicken. When you "kai" something, you did it successfully by pure luck.

Maybe he impressed his soon to be wife with that move. And thought, inviting me to his joyous occasion would be thanking me for it. Ahahahah, nah, I don't think so.

Another thing. It just boggles my mind someone would want to invite you to something that is few months down the future. Hey, Man, wanna come to my farewell party? Say, next year, June? Dood, I don't even know whether I am going to be alive till then.

Probably I don't get it cause I've never planned anything far ahead. I guess I am one of those, living in the moment kind of people. Or just plain scared of the future. *smokes imaginary cig*

The last one I got for the Team Building thingy was terrible. I can't even feel if they have any soles to them.

Saw some discounted shoes from Al-Ikhsan advert in the newspaper last night. Noticed they hava a branch at the local shopping mall. So thought I just go there and check em out after my hair cut.

Well, the one I was interested seem kinda like the shoe that would crack after awhile with its material.

The nicer looking (and cheaper somemore) from Umbro is only for indoor. Courts only. So, not such a good idea if I am going to wear it around or occasionally for some jogging or some shit.

So this one from Nike, called Downshifter for running seems kinda ideal.

This is like my third pair of Nike shoes in a very long loooong time.

My nose is better already! Right after dinner I just sleep and sleep and sleep till morning.

Sure I woke up like a bit later in the night, in the middle of the night, wee hours of the morning, and then around 3 someething I think. And then it was "...wake up". And, I just got up and felt much better.

It still gets stuffy a bit whenever there's a dramatic room temperature change. Especially from very hot to cold.

Went out to be an emotional crutch for FFK last night for dinner. Luckily we were a step earlier, otherwise, whole place would be full.

Ooh, Figma Miku Hatsune Vocoloid is MIIIIIIIIIINE! And they still have Kamina and Metis pvc figurines in stock! YES! for myself. OH SHI for my wallet.

Written by Grant Morrison and art by Frank Quietly, one of comic books that I look forward to every month (though there were delays) has finally come to an end last week, with issue 12.

Story not canon (look it up) to the regular Superman books, it's quite unique - a Modern Age style of story telling of Superman stories with Golden Age and Silver Age elements.

Due to over exposure of solar radiation in a space rescue mission in the first issue, the story concluded with Superman, after battling Solaris and a super powered Lex Luthor, flew into the sun to repair the damages done by Solaris.

Spoilers: Guess it leads to Grant Morrison's DC One Million.

I guess a story that is good, is better being short, sweet and touching.

Lets see this is.... how long already? My third week of having stuffy and runny nose.

1st week was bearable. Had some panadols to keep it at bay.

Then 2nd week's Monday, I went to see Doc. Doc gave me some meds and it was ok till my meds were finish.

Doc said most probably it's some allergic reaction. Allergic to what? Dunno. Maybe dust, cat's fur... she said it could be the weather. Allergic to weather??! Wtf... might as well be allergic to air.

Now it's the third week, and its still the same. Constant phone ringing and aunties gossiping at customer's site didn't make things any better.

Have to resort to rolling up tissue paper and stuff them into my nose.

Kinda disgusting. Urgh.

The Amazing Race Asia 3

Are you watching it? Touted as the most difficult race ever. I gotta agree even after just the first episode.

Teams that I am rooting for:

Bernie and Henry

Definitely one of the strongest of the teams. Definitely deserves to win.

It's weird how they are distant relatives of mine.

Seeing Henry's reaction when Bernie was playing the Nokia NGage game was LOL inducing.

Hope they don't make any dumbass decisions and lose.

Ad and Fuzzie

Another strong team. Too funny not to watch.

They made some wrong decisions but manage to pick up the pace.

Pailin and Natalie

The beauty queens. Both who I believe have the looks, brawns and brains. Pailin has impressed me more so far.

The weakest link need to pick up her pace. If she don't, I think she might cost them the race.

Teams I like to watch and don't mind winning:

Niroo and Kapil

The father and son team. The generation gap is just soo funny. But I think the generation gap is definitely helping them in alot of situations in the race.

Too bad they kept getting screwed by no direction sense cab drivers.

Sam and Vince

The self proclaimed funny team.

I don't think they are all that funny in the sense that they do funny things but more like the things they do that makes you laugh at them, instead of with them.

Anything works I guess.

Geoff and Tisha

One word: Tisha.

Geoff is ok, but he needs to treat his team mate with more respect.

Anyways, I smell dinner. I think it's ready.

I wonder what they will give. I heard someone said they give some kind of card that says you are certifide to give first aid or something.

Went to the usual place I get my CDR's and bump into TT.

Remember TT? My ex stylist who's from the same home town as my Dad? Yeah, her.

Anyway, her shop is actually quite big. Bigger than where she used to work. It's a few shops near that comp stuff place where I get my CDR's. It wasn't confirmed as whenever I walked past there, it's either too early or too late and the shop seems, kinda, closed.

So, I dropped in to say hi as she was having her snack and watching Legend of the Demigods on her notebook.

She thought I came for a hair cut. I said, I was in the area to buy some stuff, and since you are here, just thought I dropped by to say hi.

She asked about my parents, and asked if we are going back to my dad's home town. She's going back tonight. Definitely for Mid Autumn Festival.

Anyway, just chat with her a lil bit and I went off. I think she put on some weight or it could be her hair that made her face kinda a lil puffy.

Still not out yet.

A few days after the training, the organizer received some additional 3MB materials and emailed it to us.

Saw it while at off site, but didn't really have time to email to ask him about the results.

So, I did on Friday. He said he hasn't received any news yet and he was quite tied up with work to ask.

Hmmm, the papers are not marked yet? Whatever happened to "I only sleep 2 hours a day so I can have more time to do things?"?

Basic First Aid Training Day 2

Yaaaaaaa! Finally finished the training.

Morning was further training, bandaging, practice and revision.

After lunch, we had our exams. I wouldn't say I do very well in my written exam (objective & subjective), but I think I would at least pass it.

The trainner/examiner said everyone passed our practical CPR. So, at least there covered a lot of points.

We did some scenario handling as well, but I am not sure how is that going to be graded, or he just want us to see us making a full out of ourselves.

"It was just a flesh wound."

Scenario handling is where we were split into 2 groups, and there are 4 of us. 1 team would be those who would apply first aid, and the other, 3 of em acting as the victim's friends.

Guess who get to act as the victim?

"Check out my manly scar!"

The trainer brough some fake looking wounds to stick on to the victim, so we would have to try to identify what kind of wounds are they, and apply the suitable treatment for it.

"Is that your open fracture, or are you just happy to see me?"

Of course, all did not go well with both teams, since we did not have any real experience with it.

Hopefully I pass everything and get the cert.

Next year would have a chance to play with fire extinguishers. Hopefully that will be on.

Had nothing better to do today after lunch so I flipped thru the local newspapers. Second page has a pic of some hand holding a nut.

I didn't notice the text at first. I was thinking, what's so special about this?

Basic First Aid Training

Full day training today. Have to get up early on a Saturday morning.

There's suppose to be 10 of us but 2 got abducted by aliens. I wonder they would have to pay for the training, since, they confirmed it, and it's not cheap in the first place?

It was actually pretty interesting. For practical, we learned CPR and how to tie a knot for a sling bandage. And also how to put someone into a recovery position.

It's actually very comfortable lying down in this position. If you have trouble sleeping, try it.

CPR is not as easy as you think. It's actually very tiring. And yeah, you might actually get yourself into trouble if you are not doing it right. I'm not talking about getting someone killed.

So, anyways, next one's on the 6th. We would have more practical training on that day and then exams for certification.

Moonlight Resonance's Cast At Subang Summit 17/08/2008

Saw the advert on our local satelite TV channels that 4 of them would be appearing at Summit, today at 12:30pm.

Since we have been watching Heart of Greed, and a fan of Moses' character, Tak Tak Dei, I asked mom if she wants to go crowd with the other fans to catch them.

Surprisingly, mom didn't complain "so many people lah", "ridiculouslah"... and she just said "yes".

We went out at around 11:30AM and should reached at around 12noon. When we reached the concourse, there's already alot of people waiting. We just have to wait till they arrive.

Toffie snuck out. Don't know when. Don't know how.

Nobody even realised, until my brother and I got home, all of us was about to have dinner, and we realised, why the hell he did not come to the dinner table?

Mom asked me if I know where he was. How the hell I know? I just got back and I am not the one who stayed at home the whole day.

Looked everywhere in the house including closed rooms (just in case he some how snuck in), called out to him, and he didn't even came out.

So, only two conclusions. Either somehow he snuck out the front, or someone let him out at the back and forgot to took him back in.

He's handicapped, you see. He's not able to walk properly. When he walks, he's like he's dancing and off balance. That's why we don't let him out un-supervised. 4 times out of 10 he would fell into the drain, chasing other cats, trying to pick fights.

We went out to the front, and the back to look for him. Calling him out will be kinda futile as he seldom responds to calls, unless he's hungry. We did it anyway.

we look in drans, under drains, people's houses' compounds... nada. We figured most probably he either have went into someone's house or someone's compound hiding somewhere from us.

We have searched for almost an hour. Torch lights were lit, talked a few neighbours... one of them said she saw him "playing" in front of another neighbour's house. We went there to ask of course. They said they've never seen him.

We can hear a bit of thunder rumbling in the distance. Shit.

In a desperate attempt, Dad suggested and took out Mickey to try to track him down. But the dummy got distracted by Mimie who followed us out, dashing left and right in front of him. We thought he picked up a scent, but then he stopped and peed.

One of the neighbour's dog came out. He's actually friendly. But Mickey's jealous and possesive and starts to growl. We brought him back to avoid him getting into a fight.

It's already over an hour's plus. Still no sign of the sack of potatos. We still didn't give up. I still kept looking. While I was searching in on of the storm drains, I heard my brother yelled out, "Over here!!".

I turned and saw him bending down at one of the bushes. No, he did not yell out to me to ask me to see him taking a crap, he found Toffie. The bugger was hiding in there.

What brother said was he was calling out to him at around that area, and he heard the bushes rustling. He called out agan and it rustled and there's movements so he went in to look.

Struggled a bit when he were carrying him back home. We thought he would be in shock, like this one time it happened. But apparently, he's fine. When we put him down, he straight went to the dinner table. Knowing that we are having our dinner.

Anyway, yeah, we found him on the same night. But he sure got us worried sick.
